From what I have been reading, it appears that this might possibly be located in Keating, Pennsylvania. I have been through the pdf "The Legend of the Cross on the Rock". The final pages summarize Beil's trip to Keating, to locate the Rock (but not yet recover the original / historic treasure). Is this pdf the one that we use as basis to hunt for Beil's hidden treasure cache?

Thanks Jenny. So it seems for this cache we only get a general location. I am not picking up on any subtle codes or clues in the PDF yet. I am aware that in the treasure illustrated.com discussions he will sometimes give additional clues like for the cache 2. By the way I see GeneticBlend posting there (cache 2), i hope to soon. By the way, when I go to www.treasureillusrated.com main page, i cant find link to forums. I need to use the forum link you provided, anyone find a way in through the main page? Also I got snagged a few times by going to the forum main page but not seeing the H. Charles Beil subforums to the cache discussions. I’m not used to needing to login before seeing the sub forums, so just need to recall that they are hidden except if you are a member and logged in.

For those that have problems getting to the correct page with the hunts....
Go to the tab HOME PAGE
Scroll down until you see the heading in grey with the title: TREASURE ILLUSTRATED METAL DETECTING FORUM GUIDE TO H. CHARLES BEIL'S BURIED TREASURES
Then choose the thread with the title: THE FABULOUS BURIED TREASURE CACHES OF H. CHARLES BEIL AKA TREASURE MAN
(Don't go to the thread that says How to access information on H. Charles Beil's Buried Caches)
And just so everyone is aware, not all of them are buried, and not all of them need the use of a metal detector to recover.
Also, when I first joined his forum, I had to leave, then log back in to be able to accesd the thread with the hunts.
Hope that helps!

It seems to me that Keating was a red herring - has anyone else found what I found about the real location of the original cross? I'm surprised that this one has been out there for quite some time and no-one has mentioned this on the blogs. If anyone has this same line of thinking and knows the right town to look, PM me.
