Hi all -
I am new to the hunt. I've only been at it for a month or so and have read as many threads as I've had time for (here and tweleve). I can't seem to figure any of this out. I thought I was good at solving riddles but... yeah...
So here I am, looking to see if I can contribute anything new?
One of the things that stood out to me from the text was when Abanaki stated "Those inconsistencies" "Watch" --
So I started looking for inconsistencies in the picture to see if they meant anything.
1) The compass on HQ's image is completely backwards/a reflection of the correct compass -- I'm not sure if this means he's backwards in his direction? Like when he says "Go West" it really means East? Maybe he doesn't know the difference because of his backward compass? 2) The Old Dame's clock has the wrong marks on it -- meaning if you start at he 12 o'clock position and go to what would normally be "5" minutes -- on her clock its only 4 minutes -- so the time is all off. This may or may not be more interesting as the text reads 'Watch those inconsistencies' -- maybe just the inconsistency of the clock/watch?
Just throwing some stuff out there.

Don’t worry about being new, or late to the game. It’s a good thing. Ideas like Harley’s compass is exactly the type of new thinking we need. I’m still wondering why he changed the elevation by 1 foot on some of the mountains

Thanks - there are just so many things with this hunt that its hard to sort through what's real and what's not. I have a few ideas to that point. But yeah, the compass is completely backwards, he's using a plumb bob as a scry, the elevations are off... there's a lot going on with this guy. He's all over the place.

The "inconsistencies in character" also caught my eye. I took this more literally and looked for inconsistent characters in the book. For example, sometimes he uses a slanty slash as a hyphen, but sometime it's straight. Sometimes his ellipse has three dots, sometimes it's four.
I tried to find morse code in his dots (ellipses) and dashes (hyphens) but didn't come up with anything.
It could also refer to the inconsistent way he has the border letters. For instance, some Es have the drop shadow on the right, some on the left, some with a little tail, some without. I did a spreadsheet of how many different variations of letters there are. It got me nowhere. I thought if I wrote down all the inconsistent characters, it might spell something out. But there are lots. For just the letter E alone I think I got over 10 variations.

I tried the same thing -- I even thought "maybe they came up with their own coding system" that might have to do with the punctuation -- but fell short. I did a "test run" on a few pages -- but it fell short when I tried to extrapolate something from it.
