Very nicely done. I'm not an attorney, so what are the laws on "fair use" w/o attribution? This is clearly a Rockwell knock-off, and not the only one in TTOTC. Is it a case of a statute of limitations? fairuse.stanford.edu/overview/faqs/copyright-basics/Curious. That Forrest and Polt were involved suggests these were not cooyright violations. Is it because they're not 3xact copies?

My friend designs skateboard art and he received a cease and desist letter from a few companies. His art was original and different from that the companies’ but similar enough to make a comparison.

I know there is no longer a copyright in place for Webster’s dictionary. It is now considered public domain. I wonder if the art sketches are no longer protected under copyright?

As I recall, there was an email exchange between a searcher and Allen years ago, and he claimed that the changes he made were sufficient not to be a copyright issue. I'm not an attorney, so I can't say how much you have to change something before it's a derivative, artistic interpretation or re-interpretation, but these seem to skate pretty close to the line. And while the Rockwell artwork in question is undeniably "old," it's my understanding that they aren't "old enough" for their copyrights to have expired by 2010.

We need a patent attorney in the Chase. Lol. Intellectual property is definitely specialized knowledge. 😉

Watched Josh Gates on Destination Unkown on Sunday 3/31/19. I think I have the solve. Mr. Fenn was serious when he said to keep the poem solve SIMPLE.
