- How would you go - navigation, navigation.. - circle it in - screw it in...
Then I thought of the most easiest way to solve this. What if each picture represents a building, monument or place? I mean for some pictures it's almost obvious. I'm totally convinced, that the token is hidden in England. And when someone would ask me where to zoom in I would say "London".
What do you think about it? Would you agree with the locations?
I have always felt we need to identify buildings, and my theory is that they are all in and around greenwich (park).
I have already posted about the similarity between the conduit building and the layout of the oracle page, but - depending on how much of an "holistic view" we should take - there could be more...
Consider, for example, the main observatory complex - a collection of buildings, many with domed roofs with balls/crosses on top. Does that remind you of a certain building depicted on the Russia page?
I think there's definitely hidden imagery within the pictures, I think it would be far too much of a coincidence if the Conduit building and the oracle page aren't linked.
I think there's bound to be a similar type of link between the Great Fire picture and the outlines of the buildings there tying in with somewhere in London also.
Interestingly enough I was also very strongly drawn to the layout of the buttons and the blue line on the jacket of the Oracle page, I spent hours searching through roads and rivers around the UK to see if there was any sort of Motorway or river that might have a very similar route to the blue part of the jacket, but haven't managed to come across anything yet. It could be worth looking at some sort of overview of London to see if there's any roads that might follow a similar path.
Or maybe the buttons could signal stops on the Underground map, with the intersection with the grey line being two lines crossing or possibly the Thames.
Greenwich was also my first theory. The lack of success forced me to think in bigger circles. hehe. I never thought of the parallels between the rounded roofs of the Russian picture and the Observatory. One cannot deny the parallels. Most of the time a "feeling" will lead you up the right path... the subconsciousness is smarter. From what I read: I think Neil you connect the conduit building to the last Albert picture? it’s out of my circle.. … that’s my issue. But when I change the order, yeah, there's something about the order...
I have a third and much "bigger" navigation theory. But I think it's too big. Let's imagine to do this for children: I would set up a treasure hunt for children in a park. I like this theory the most. But still I’m not sure if this is true.
Here’s my Greenwich circle. You can make it in 10 minutes. But I know it lacks some inconsistency between the first few pictures and the circle looks ugly. Maybe the order is wrong.. Difficult. I’ll need to rethink.
Hi inatimate1 Yes it really does seem to fit all the clues doesn't it. Just to let you know other hunters have already put forward this location as a potential solution but with no luck. It doesn't rule out The Millennium Timespace as the location but it does mean that no-one has got the correct square metre yet. I've just done a rough count and in the last year alone there have been 9 or so submissions based in and around this location, but they have all been wrong. Make of that what you will.
yes, I also think this is a great spot. I also ran out of ideas of this place.
I worked on the London map recently. I couln't figure out the point 0. But it seems like it fits the butterfly stars. This picture "sunset over the empire" is definitely a map... the ways, pyramids and stars look "mapy" So the other way round not all pictures represent a location.
King's cross is definitely a correct location! Thanks for all the replies to this topic!!!
So here's my new theory in hope it will help someone and "in return". I know 9 and 10 seems odd. But what if this is right? Anyway the 1666 monument is nearby.
Ahhh thanks Marc, hadn't noticed the replies for Gosport, thought I'd stumbled on a break through by pure chance! I remember reading on the forum someone had a solid claim for Lincoln fitting with everything, but it does seem like we are all convinced London has to be the place.
I think you're right with the stars looking "mapy" Sarah, but what makes you sure that Kings Cross is definitely correct as opposed to say Charing Cross? You're definitely on to something though, it's too convenient for it not to be some sort of lead
Hi inatimate1, I think that King's cross is correct because there's the INRI sign on the cross (Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum). Rex is King. And the poem is talking about the 14 Stations. Also we have the whole story of Harry Potter there (magican and children on the plague picture) and So Kings Cross seems most suitable. BUT you never can be sure in this riddle I'm sorry when I sound too sure. I'm just excited Did anybody find out some other clues regarding Charing Cross ? It would be nice to nail down at least one location
I just mentioned Charing Cross because of the cross reference and it being a station in London in the vicinity of your map points but fully agree with your King’s Cross logic
Have you tried incorporating The Crown Tavern into your points at all? apparently it’s where Stalin and Lenin first met in 1905, with both of them appearing on the Russian picture it might be a significant location?
I tried the combination with the Crown Tavern, which I think is a very good idea. BUT I cannot loose my MI6 point. So: what if the 6th picture represents two places? ->double sized image = 2 pictures. Also the Olympic stadium is missing now. But maybe the the greek picture just tells us to go from west (Windsor castle) to East (West London White City) - anyway I think this is our starting point, but I don't tell my secret this time . It looks interesting now...
Trafalgar Square is in the middle. I will submit some solutions around. Feel free to do this as well. )
Here is another view on "Navigation". Does anybody think this is relevant or gives a sense? 1. Egypt - Cairo 2. Greece - Athens 3. Russia - Moscow 4. Italy - Rome 5. Israel - Jerusalem 6. UK - London 7. USA - Bahamas Caribbean
