Hey Folks,
Some random and not so random thoughts below - I is of course as we know Indulgence, so must be Important?:
In the poem there are 32 I's, the poem in TTOTC appears on page 132 (I-32).
So what's the deal with the number 32? 42 and a bunch of other number have really been getting the most attention.
32 is the smallest number n with exactly 7 solutions to the equation φ(x) = n. --> (φ = Phi) as we know eludes to the Philadelphia incident, Pie Caper, Golden Ratio etc. Letter N symbolizes Fish. An early circular ichthys symbol, created by combining the Greek letters ΙΧΘΥΣ is the Cart Wheel that Fenn is pictured next to in TFTW, alluding to Religion, God, Jesus."The secret Symbol" - "Keep my Secret Where".
The fifth power of two, 32 is also a Leyland number since 2^4 + 4^2 = 32. --> 24 lines in the poem. End of my rainbow (42 degrees, 2 4 2 walk etc)
32 is the ninth happy number. --> "Happiness is the Pot". Perhaps Fenn is saying Fishing is Happiness. "River bottoms are my Church"
Humans have 32 teeth --> "Flying into the Teeth of the Rockies" (Seventh Six Questions With Fenn)
Seems to me that The Chase is full of a hodge podge of allusions, loose references and connections, symbology, lending from various cultures and religions, mathematics, greek symbols, numerology, poetry. It is almost too much to really make a clear system out of as a Searcher, but it is always fun to discover new connections and learn from eachother.
Any other thoughts on the number 32?

Indulgence wasn’t always the chest’s name. I believe it once was called Tarzan.

There are also about 9 degrees that differ between North and True North. Could a change in 'direction' be that big of a deal?
When do we leave?

32 degrees (another example)....and so on, and so on.
This is the "Pandora's box" I've been working for many years. I recommend to keep at it.

Thinking about the line - Begin it where... - has me thinking that this could represent the Dew Point and Relative Humidity. Atmosphere pressure comes into play as well when determining at what temperature the dew point is and how it feels to a person.
Just so happens if you divide 1 standard atmosphere (atm) defined as 101.325 Pa by Pi (3.141) you get 32.258.
Technical...YES
Coincidence...MOST LIKELY
Does this help explain the I's...MAYBE NOT but it did lead me to Pandora Colorado and not sure how I landed there.

How could it represent dewpoint and relative humidity? Those two things are hugely variable hence the word relative. The hotter the temperature it is outside the more humidity the air can hold. You cannot figure anything off of things that are variables. You need to figure out some constants.

Another one is that there are 32 I's in the poem.
There are 5 Stanzas with 5 I's and the 5th stanza has 7 I's.
Why do 5 stanzas have the same amount of I's?
The most significant meaning of the number 7 is that it was God's last day of the week used for rest. This is the stanza which Fenn rounds of with "I've done it tired and now I am weak." Time to rest?
It tells me that maybe the final resting place of the Chest is in this stanza.
Thoughts?

I’ve just counted ‘i’s twice and both times it was 34?? I agree that 32 seems significant though.

Reversing '32' takes me to 23 which also takes me to 2222: A blessed area indeed.
