Then with your newfound knowledge You must travel through black flame The place where alchemy’s best is found Will help you win this game
This part suggests to me where we are meant to go once we have worked out the keys. I'm not sure what "black flame" could be a reference to, there's a lot about dark arts when put through Google, and also an album by a British Band called "Bury Tomorrow", the band have another album called "Runes" which is heavily linked to Alchemy, but part of me would say that pretty confidently that "alchemy's best" is a reference to "gold".
The last line is also open to a lot of interpretation, is it simply implying that this will help you find the treasure, or is there a link to a specific "game"? There are a lot of board games behind the riddle setter, "Catan" appearing twice on the shelf, but whether this is a hint or not I can't be sure

Alchemy's best could also be the 'Philosopher's Stone'

Ahh I hadn't thought of the Philosepher's Stone link, back to square one it is!

Philosopher's Stone makes a lot of sense for alchemy's best...although it could also be the best/most famous alchemist?
Interesting that stanza 5 has the potential 4 elements described (earth, wind, fire, and maybe water) and those 4 elements are what represented the philosopher's stone.

Few more thoughts about this stanza:
Every time I think of the Philosopher's Stone, I think about Harry Potter since the first book is all about the stone. Interesting that I just read the creator of this puzzle likes Harry Potter a lot too...
So alchemy's best in Harry Potter would be Nicolas Flamel who created the philosopher's stone.
Another possible rabbit hole that I thought about concerning Harry Potter...the place where the stone is found is the Mirror of Erised. How do you get there? First you have to pass by Fluffy who is basically Cerberus in Harry Potter World. There is a band named Cerberus with a song titled Flames in the Black Sky...travel through black flame...travel through Cerberus/Fluffy?
Will help you win this game...makes me think of the final challenge to get to the mirror...Harry and friends have to play a game of chess and win.

If Alchemy's best is the 'Philosopher's Stone' and links to Harry Potter, it was found in Vault 713 (one of the places...there are others)
"The stone was originally stored at Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Vault 713"

Black flames were a type of enchanted fire used in the sixth obstacle of the defences surrounding the Philosopher's Stone during the 1991–1992 school year. After entering the chamber, purple flames sealed off the entrance, while black flames blocked the exit. Only by solving Severus Snape's potions riddle could one leave the room. The bottle on the far left contained a potion that allowed the drinker to pass unharmed through the flames and proceed to the final chamber where the Philosopher's Stone was kept.[1]
copied this from the harry potter wiki. I will have to dig out my book and verify it. I'm pretty sure it's not in the movie.
Love this collusion, (sharing of ideas) now we are getting some ideas flowing.
The game is afoot!

So I just finished reviewing the last part of "hp and the philosophers stone". I am more convinced than ever we are on the right track with the sorcerers stone. The two locations of the stone after harry travels through the black flame are the mirror of erised, and then it ends up in harry potter's pocket. After that, Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel destroy it. I am thinking the mirror of erised is the answer we are looking for.

It bothers me a little that the poem has 'black flame' instead of 'black flames.' In HP, it's always referred to as 'flames.'
It's another 10: 10 pins, 10 cuts, 10 stanzas, and 10 letters in black flame. Relevant?

If it had an "s" it wouldn't rhyme with game, but not an irrelevant point.

Yeah, I thought of that, but the rhyming in his poem is so inconsistent that I don't think it was a focus him. He has zero rhyming with heroes, man with land, turns with first. Begins with friends??

It also bothers me that it says "where alchemy's best IS found." Vault 713, the Mirror of Erised, and Harry's pocket are all places where it had been before it was moved. (Although I do admit I tried harryspocket.com--an available domain, BTW, in case anyone wants it.) Now I'm playing with the Periodic Table. Gold (AU) is atomic number 79, atomic weight 197.

Alchemy's best could be a link to Arcadia in Skyrim, who you can find in Whiterun.
It's complete longshot, but another potential route.

There's a book called BlackFlame. Just downloaded the Kindle version and am reading it. It's the third book in the series so I'm a little lost...
