The other threads are becoming a mess (i know mostly my fault).
I have started this thread because if it is a web address then it relates to more than one particular stanza. It very hard to keep track of what is going on or has been suggested if indeed the first key is a web address rather than each stanza having it own individual answer, which is why I created this separate thread.
one of my theories is that it is a simple web address using nothing more than IP address and home page.
Piece number one will call a place
That fits you like a glove
For nothing is as strong or fawning
As a mother’s love

The next plus two is found
Astride a treasure on its own
Spare no expense, search everywhere
Beside a bird that’s rarely thrown
Astride a treasure on its own

Beside a bird that’s rarely thrown
Im pretty certain this refers to Turkmenistan.
"Astride a treasure on its own". you sit astride a horse, a golden horse would be a treasure, and the Golden Horses of Turkmenistan are world famous, Turkmenistan is close to Turkey. TURKEY (a bird that that's rarely thrown) and SPARE are both bowling terms
TM is the country code of Turkmenistan. But we are told "The next plus two is found"
I believe this means adding two letters to TM
Combine stanza 3 and 4 and you will get home.html
usually the home page of a web server is index.html but a server admin can point his web server at any start page he/she wishes.
If someone has set up a webserver and not registered a domain, the only way to access the server would be via an IP address. I suspect this is exactly what Lukas has done.
Stanza 5 should give us an IP address.
The last part is a tricky one
So play it carefully:
Explode, the strongest wind
No sea legs here, a song by D.D.E.
So play it carefully:
Explode, the strongest wind
No sea legs here, a song by D.D.E.
so far we have broken it down as follows
explode = C4
the strongest wind = F5
No sea legs = C6
A song by D.D.E. = E6
Converting those answers from Hexidecimal to decimal
C4 = 196
F5 = 245
C6 = 198
E6 = 230
combining those to create an IP address gives 196.245.198.230
Using the above theory that would give the following as the full web address
196.245.198.230/home.html
However that does not resolve into a web address.
If we take it for granted that we have solved stanza's 3 and 4 to get home.html then this means we have not solved stanza 5 correctly.
It's possible that The strongest wind is not F5. The strongest hurricane is F5. Being pedantic the strongest wind would be force 12. Convert that to hexadecimal and you get FB.
However substituting that gives us a web address 196.252.198.230/home.html but this does not resolve either
Im pretty certain the 'no sea legs' (seasick) = C6 is correct, but its possible that there is another solution
We can be almost certain a song by D.D.E is indeed E6
could the solution for Explode be wrong?
If we have the IP address right, then we have the home page wrong. If we have the home page right then we have the IP address wrong. The problem is there is no way to tell which statement is true.
