As suggested in the riddle, the first key is made up of three pieces. And Lukas has said that you know when you are on the right path....
Q) Will we know what we are looking for when we see it? Or will we have to guess as to what the “keys” are? A) You will know when you are on the right path. The clues will be obvious in hindsight, but difficult to understand at first.
Since none of us have the key (yet) what does that really mean? To me it seems that the key will provide some coherent information to distinguish it from a random solution. Having said that, it then sounds like a key based on characters is more likely than numbers and thus it seems to point to an web address rather than a phone number. Do you agree? I think this is an important distinction as it helps to know what you are looking for.
I started out thinking that this hunt was for a web address. Then I found a free app that is called NextPlus (currently in version 2..., stanza 4...) and that it provides the user with a phone number for free (and in/out texts) so that had me thinking that perhaps Lukas set it up that way instead. But to me, looking at a random number does not give me the feeling of being on the right path. Besides, dealing with random callers/texters etc in a semi-manual way seems less than ideal. A web page seems more desirable from a hunt creators point of view. Just my 2 cents. What do you think?

That basically limits it to something on the internet, and NOT an APP, not everyone has a smart phone. It also should mean that what ever resources we might need do not require payment or subscription that then bombards us with junk mail and notifications.

Good points! We are on the same page then. As for the payment itself, how do you think that it will be done? Paypal? A personal check? Cash sent in the mail?

Also, I just realized, Lukas points out that "Find real treasure, hidden on the internet". That pretty much seals the deal; it is not a phone number we are looking for...

Lukas has said there will be no cost involved. How can you make a free phone call? As far as I am aware free phone numbers only work within a single country, they dont work if you put an international dial code in front of them. If that's the case we can totally rule out a phone call being necessary.
That doesn't however mean a phone number could not be a key, be part of a key, or something required to solve a puzzle.
