The Secret treasure hunt has been going on for over 30 years. 12 ceramic casks with key inside to redeem for a valuable gemstone were hidden across the US (and 1 in Canada). Only 2 out of the 12 casks have ever been found. Although the passing of time may have made some of these casks impossible to find.... there is still hope another(or more) can be discovered. As of now the most agreed upon locations are as follows:
Image 1 matches with Verse 7 : possible location San Francisco
Image 2 matches with Verse 6: possible location Charleston
Image 3 matches with Verse 11: possible location Roanoke Island
Image 4 matches with Verse 4: CONFIRMED location Cleveland: Found in 2004
Image 5 matches with Verse 12: CONFIRMED location Chicago: Found in 1984
Image 6 matches with Verse 9: possible location St. Augustine
Image 7 matches with Verse 2: possible location New Orleans
Image 8 matches with Verse 1: possible location Houston
Image 9 matches with Verse 5: possible location Montreal CANADA
Image 10 matches with Verse 8: possible location Milwaukee
Image 11 matches with Verse 3: possible location Boston- UPDATE 2019- FOUND/CONFIRMED
Image 12 matches with Verse 10: possible location New York City
The above are ‘ideas’ based on sound reasoning and years of research. It should be remembered, like any treasure hunt, until the treasure is found they are not confirmed locations and remain only possibilities.

I have wondered about the NYC puzzle. It seems to focus on Fort Hamilton High School, and Verse 10 refers to a V. Currently there is a V on the ground at the west end of the FHHS athletic field. It centers on the football goalpost at that end. It shows up in a 1996 aerial photo, but I don't know if it would have been there in 1981 when the prizes were buried. Has anyone considered this as the V alluded to in the verse? The athletic field has two baseball diamonds, northwest and southeast. Some believe Image 12 can be interpreted as showing a ball diamond. It has a football field, which means it has yard lines. Going east from the middle of one branch of the V by the western goalpost would mean heading toward the football field. Are "steps" as used in the verse the yard lines of the football field? Is the cask on the twenty-two yard line where it intersects a line parallel to the long length of the football field and going through the middle of one (or the other) side of the V? Possibly on the north side where there is a ball diamond also? Is that why the "or more" in Verse 10 can seem to make the measurement vague when it may not be in fact? Is it because 22 "steps" can me taken either to refer to exactly the 22 yard line or to refer to actual paces of which there would be more from the middle of one side of the V? Does "rhapsodic man's soil" refer not only to Brooklyn born Gershwin, but to the soil of football heroes rhapsodized in song? Does "simple roots" just mean grass that used to be on the field? Just tell me I am wrong so I can forget about it.

Looking at the dig site's presented in the 3 solved paintings I noticed a common theme; all three were framed in an arched/curved frame similar to an Egyptian cartouche. This is used to mark an important character like a king or queen. This framed site in the image is also described in the verse; i.e. columns, fence & fixture, home, door, remuneration, lion, wing and so on. Also studying the fairies images can give hint to the site. So I searched the images for these arched framed areas and this is what I came with. This is fluid and at the early stages so your input to improve it is appreciated.

It's been suggested that the fence at the beginning of the book contains hints to the final casks locations.

Happy New Year everyone! All this discussion regarding Charleston and the Verse 5/Verse 6 debate has actually produced something meaningful and I'm ready to share. I figured it out yesterday, but thought a new decade was the perfect time for new information on The Secret. We have been going back and forth on the Charleston verse, but finally the scales tipped toward Verse 5 quite definitively. Now obviously this presents a problem for the "established" image/verse pairings and what the majority of people believe.
To tackle this problem I wrote down the cities and the number of the associated image, leaving the verse column blank. I started by filling in the 3 solved verse numbers, then moved on to ones for places like Milwaukee and Houston for which there is little to no debate. Finally I narrow it down and I'm sitting with 3 cities and 3 verses. Charleston, New Orleans, and Montreal along with Verses 2,5, and 6. Since Charleston is Verse 5, that left Verse 2 for Montreal and Verse 6 for New Orleans. These are the correct pairings and they all work for those cities!!!

Verse 7 and 10 pairings are also in dispute.

Verse 7 and 10 pairings are also in dispute. I could believe that, those were the 4th and 5th ones I had left during the matching exercise. Wouldn't surprise me if they flipped as there is nothing definitive in them to point to a specific city. Keeping an open mind is what allows for progress.
I realize I haven't shown exactly why Montreal is Verse 2, Charleston is Verse 5 and New Orleans is Verse 6.
When I have the time I'll explain, for now here is a small piece of the evidence:
Verse 2 -first 4 lines describe the starting point in Montreal...the Sun Life Building on Metcalfe Street.
During WWII the British Crown Jewels and other valuables were brought to this location and kept in the basement. The building has 15 rows of windows from top to bottom and 21 rows of windows from one side to the other.
We are talking about REAL jewels, not plastic beads like in New Orleans! Byron has been quite literal in the solved verses, that doesn't change here!

I might be looking at the wrong side of the building but it seems like there are more than 15 rows of windows from top to bottom. There are 21 from left to right but in the middle of building not end to end which to me would be the widest part.

I might be looking at the wrong side of the building but it seems like there are more than 15 rows of windows from top to bottom. There are 21 from left to right but in the middle of building not end to end which to me would be the widest part. It is all about perspective in this case. If you stand directly in front of the Sun Life Building and look up all you can see are 15 rows of windows. Byron standing in front of the building would have seen 15 rows of windows. Are there more? Yes there are, but only when you look at the building from further away.
Verse 2 - first 4 lines describe the Sun Life Building
Only three stand watch - this line is about the 3 statues right across the street in Dorchester Square, namely Sir Wilfred Laurier, the soldier on the Boer War Memorial, and poet Robert Burns
Here is a sovereign people - this line is about the 1980 Quebec Referendum where the people of the province decided between staying part of Canada or choosing sovereignty. Would have been current and relevant when The Secret was published.
Who build palaces to shelter
Their heads for a night! - these 2 lines are about the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, which is in the immediate vicinity. I'm sure the St. Charles Hotel in New Orleans was a nice place, but queens stay in palaces NOT saints!
Personally I think the perceived Abroad in America connections to The Secret aren't actually real and they've just thrown people down a rabbit hole they can't seem to escape. I didn't always feel that way, but the more I find out about the puzzle it leads me to that conclusion.
