Kodewords Kards is a free Treasure Puzzle.
RULES - PRELIMINARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!
1. Anyone can play. The Kards can be obtained free from the Puzzle author in limited supply by submitting a correct answer to a teaser puzzle, or by printing out a PDF file of the Kards on two sides of paper and cutting the paper into square card-shaped pieces. The PDF file will be publicly released 11/26/19 or 11/27/19. Decks will be mailed to arrive 11/26/19 or 11/27/19 (hopefully).
2. There are 2 cash prizes: a $500 cash prize for the first person to find the final Kodeword and a $500 cash prize for the first person to find entire set of all Kodewords. The prizes could both be won by the same person or by two different people.
3. To win a prize, submit your entry to this email address: kodewordskards@gmail.com Only this email address can be used for entries. Entries sent to any other address or messaging system will not be considered. Please put "SOLUTION SUBMISSION" in the heading of the email. In the body of the email, put your entry and explain exactly how you arrived at your solution. To qualify, an entry must be accompanied by a valid explanation. A correct entry without an explanation will be considered invalid. If you submit a winning entry and explanation, I will contact you. If your entry is incorrect, I may send a brief reply, such as "no".
4. Once a correct entry is received, any subsequent correct entries received prior to 3AM Virginia Time on 12/2/19 or 24 hours after the initial correct entry (whichever is later) will also be accepted. Each prize will be divided equally among the submitters of the correct entries within the stated time period.
5. You may make only one entry per day. Multiple entries in a given day will be discarded. Do not use multiple email accounts to make multiple entries within a given day. Players who do this will be barred from competing and from winning either prize.
6. If you have any general questions about the puzzle, ask them on this facebook page or on the corresponding Kodewords Kards sub-forum on the Mysterious Writings forum site.
7. To be fair to all players, if someone contacts me with a possible solution method for anything to do with the puzzle, I will not confirm or deny it, either privately or publicly.
8. I may opt to publicly post clues and hints from time to time on the facebook page and/or the Mysterious Writings subforum.
9. Players are encouraged to discuss the puzzle on the facebook page, on the Mysterious Writings subforum, or using any other method.
10. When one or more winners are verified for either prize, I will make an announcement on the facebook page and on public forums.
11. Correct entries will only be accepted until 12/2/20. No prizes will be awarded for any entries received after this date.
12. I reserve the right to stop the puzzle prize process at any time for any reason. I reserve the right to not award prizes if the correct entries were obtained via egregiously unethical or fraudulent activity [e.g., the way the Masquerade "winners" obtained their solution].
Good luck!!
