Forrest is still listening. In what sense, heidini? Span-ish could mean to bridge something. SPANISH BOWL has some interesting anagrams including PINS, WINS, LAWNS BISHOP, AS BLIP SHOWN.

Literally as stated in the last line of the scrapbook: “Nobody has ever said I’m getting more valuable as I move farther into oldenhood, but I’m still listening. f”

Is he listening for anything special? Is it a clue for the poem line: 'So hear me all and listen good'?

Jenny- Forrest is hard to read. But I feel any time he uses a word from the poem, i think we are the ones that should be listening.

I was a little surprised to see 52 featured prominently here - and I don't see 26 pins - I count 23...so that might be a hint - if it's back to the 109,43, 52, 13 hints, the 109 is the sum of words in the first two paragraphs. 52 is there. 43 words in the first paragraph, not counting the numbers.
18 and 40 total 13 if you count single digits and skip the zero.
I was also surprised that no-one seemed to suggest that the "bowl" and "pins" were something...A strike is an X....that's what I got.
Also, "into but not through" - that might be important.
