Compadre. I always thought that word meant friend, but the literal meaning is co-father or like coparents. It basically means a godfather/mother relationship with the parent of a child. I kept reading on Wikipedia and found that it also does mean a less formal relationship and means best friend.
The most interesting thing that I read about the word compadre is reference to compadre meaning like God siblings. And in old English, they use the word “Godsibs“ and a modern remaining word is the word “gossip.” Didn’t Forrest say he was working on a gossip book? I just found this interesting.
From wiki:
The classic Spanish novel Don Quixote (1605–1615) contains several references to compadres; however, the compadre relationship has much less formal meaning in modern Spain where it is a reference both to a godfather/padrino or just to a best friend, with no reference to any ritual. The expression is in use particularly in southern Spain. In medieval England, parents and godparents called each other "godsibs" (that is, "God siblings"). The only trace of this old Catholic English practice in modern English is the word gossip, presumably a reference to the propensity of close companions such as compadres to chat and gossip with one another. In Spanish, the verb comadrear (from comadre) similarly means "to gossip," as does the French cognate commérage (from commère).

I thought that picture of Forrest looked familiar. See SB 126.

Hi there. Not OP, but I wanted to check this out myself. It very much appears the Scrapbook 126 photo (which we all know is photoshopped every which way!) taking just Fenn into consideration, is the same cut photo of just Fenn himself next to Paul.

I think this one is about One Bull, the one who solved the poem and had communicated with Fenn. White Swan on the other hand, is the search partner who has never spoken a word to Fenn.

Thanks Sparrow for pointing this out....
Is there a link between stories then? or just coincidental of the SB to use the photo.....

For what it is worth Forrest supposedly returned an email yesterday, 11/22/2019, that the treasure has not been found and is still where he placed it. I tend to believe it was an honest exchange, though who knows I could be wrong. I believe it was posted by a Billy on Treasures Galore.

The only way to prove it was solved is if the treasure is in your hands. Forrest will not comment one way or the other until that is accomplished. Other wise all you have is a theory.
