Anyone have ideas about the bitmap? I thought maybe it was really a pixel draw, but I can't determine what possible image it is. Are there somehow specific colors that would make it jump out? I can't find anything about a bitmap cipher that's not image related, so....I just want to make sure it's not "well, it's really obvious if you know to make seven green". But there seem to be no standard color keys for bitmaps, so i don't know how I'd be sure that there were specific colors.

Hedge...have you figured out what is next? I have enough figured out that I realize that there is a "next", but I wonder how close I am. You seem to be the fore runner, so I am hoping you can offer some encouragement.

Hi jewelie, I wish I knew what was the next step. The first part was tricky but straight-forward. The next instructions give some basic direction, but now I'm just randomly trying different things, and running out of ideas.

hedge,
I believe I am stuck at the same place you have described. I have three of those instructions.

I haven't been following along with the reports here, been busy, and I did get a late start. (The package arrived on time, but other distractions took priority for me). I'm coming up for air to mention that I did skip at least one of the first set of 27 puzzles but was able to extrapolate what I needed for my one missing kodeword (for that stage, at least). Instruction card 'I' had told me what to look at next, and I have theories. Meanwhile, I gave the photo backs to my family to play with while I did kitchen duty, and they solved one quarter of that for me. There are just sooooo many layers to this thing! I still can't believe such a high-quality product was just given to us for free. I am very grateful -- and also trusting that my mailing address will not be used for evil intent.

Yes, they are really high quality! My wife enjoyed putting together the color puzzles. I'm not sure if it's the right direction but there were some clues there (and GeneticBlend, we found that fish!)

Would anyone be willing to nudge me in the right direction for the Beale kard? I’ve solved the other 26, so I have somewhat of an idea of what I’m looking for, but I’m still rather lost. I thought I might’ve had a solution, but it looked too different from the others. Not just that but it didn’t incorporate all of the info on the kard. As such I’m hoping someone can lend me some help so I can move on to the next part (I could right now but I want to finish this out first).
Thanks!

I am amazed to hear that no one has claimed a prize yet. Oh, don't get me wrong, I am totally stuck at a plateau after the first encrypted instruction kard. I just know at least a few people who probably got a deck or downloaded the PDF are from that community of puzzlers who tackle events like the M.I.T. Mystery Hunt, and I am in awe of their skillz. If they took the holiday (for the USA) weekend off, then the rest of us still have a fighting chance. I have gathered tables full of data still waiting to be used, and theories still to be tested. I'm not quitting yet!

I'm quite stuck and don't know if it's me (have something wrong) or it's intended as part of the puzzle. I have the Kodeword for the Vig kard and its instructions from that card. It reads perfectly fine except for some 8 letter word in the middle that makes no sense but is likely the code mechanism to be used with the vig kodeword for the next part. Any feed back on this by the brain trust would be most appreciated. I would like to be able to continue with this fantastic puzzle.

Can somebody provide me some insights to kard IOX “clocks”? I’ve tried a lot of different things, but so far my solutions haven’t made any sense.
