On Facebook today, Dustin White said
www.facebook.com/BreakfastTeaandBourbon/
"Sorry everyone. When I searched for the treasure I told Mr. Bissonette exactly where I searched and sent him videos. The most recent written article on his website says someone has been within feet of the treasure and I think that was me. He can't release it if he knows someone has been to the spot with proof they were there because it'd be obvious to that person. Sorry! "
I can read Facebook, but not post (not a member). Does anyone know what Dustin is referring to? I didn't see this on www.learningstrategies.com/BreakfastTeaAndBourbon

This is the line they are referring to:
"To paraphrase Sherlock Holmes, the game’s (been) afoot since Feb. 9, and although some readers have apparently come within feet of the haul, it still sits unclaimed." (Pete didn't write that though....it was realclearlife)
AND, Pete later says after the above:
"I've heard from quite a few people who feel they are very close. A few have been to where they believe the treasure is hidden and didn't find the treasure. After the hunt, it will be fascinating to see how they arrived at their location and where they may have taken a wrong turn. Keep it fun". Pete
It may not be quite as written....a bit exaggerated. And within feet could be 1000000000000 feet or something....
But I do wish everyone the best of luck! Treasure the Adventure!

Thanks, Jenny, for helping to clarify that rumor. Just for my understanding, because I may be missing how you found the quotes .... this is how I found it.
I knew about the quote you cited from Pete on March 26, because (as an unregistered visitor), I read it on the Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/BreakfastTeaandBourbon/ ). However, I did not see any quote from realclearlife. I did see a link under Dustin White, on March 26, for a "Real Clear Life" article which was written on Mar 7 which I pulled up because you mentioned "realclearlife" that has the quote you mention. Is that where you got the quote, or is there a poster "realclearlife" somewhere that I am missing?
The reason this is throwing me off is because Dustin is linking his recent trip (within the last week, March 21 or later) to the March 7 article (written before his trip) but thinks it may be referring to him.
edit: link to the Real Life Article also found here, though not the most recent

Hey guys, I searched for the treasure during my trip on February 24th and 25th. The Real Clear Life article was posted on March 7th. My comment was mostly in jest although if the article was based on facts that the author had received from Pete Bissonette then it could have been referring to me or anyone else that has searched and let Pete know where they went.
I can say with almost 100% certainty that my three page letter to Pete on the morning of February 24th explaining my solve and that I thought his treasure hunt was about to end did result in him setting up his treasure hunt hotline. That email went out on the late afternoon of February 24th. My thought at the time was that he really liked my story and he wanted to get more of that while he had time.
I still think I know where the treasure is. The place I think the treasure is at had two to four inches of leaves everywhere and hid the treasure from me!
Who knows? Pete knows. I might've been close! (Might have been 1000 miles off too! But I don't think so! )

I wouldn't worry about it. Just like with Forrest Fenn's hunt, not a day goes by without 10 people claiming they solved it. It isn't solved until the man running the treasure hunt says it is, pay no mind to those people and just keep looking. If they think they found it, they need to go get it and prove to the guy running the hunt, posting means nothing.

W, you're so focused on not having fun with this that you're activity trying to spoil the fun for the other hunters and for the author himself.
He didn't have to write the book and offer a prize but he did. Big deal if he decided not to post the video he promised to release. If he thought it would make it too easy for someone familiar with the area where he hid the treasure to figure it out he should hold back on releasing it rather than giving the location away. If that's not the reason the only people that really seems to care is the very small vocal minority with you as their leader. Everyone else is just trying to figure it out and having FUN while doing so.
You've said on Facebook and a couple other forums its not about the money you spent on the book just the fact you were lied to. Ok, we get it. You're not interested. You're getting a refund. You didn't have fun. Go get Fenn's treasure if that'll bring you the joy you're looking for. Best of luck to you.

Hi Dustin,
Thanks for your explanation. Makes sense now. Pete had posted your "Treasure Hunting Calls - Call 1" on March 22, so I was guessing that your call was from around that time.
Wow, you jumped on a plane a few weeks after the start of the hunt. You must have been excited.
I'm making some progress, getting strong hits on some area, nothing definite yet. I find it interesting that Pete says that one of two types of people will find it 1) somewhere who really studies and works the puzzles, or 2) someone whose intuition kicks in and just knows.
It is also interesting, on the Facebook page, that Pete commented that, once the clues are explained, his comment about the video will become clear. I found a possible hidden reference to a video in the book (in addition to the lines about making video of quarry girl).

I want to hear how the searcher behind Call 11 did after he returned to his place. It was posted on Facebook yesterday. Since I probably won't be able to make a trip anywhere anytime soon, it's fun to live through others!

The book is trash, and yes I will be getting a refund and also letting Amazon know it is using false advertising even to this day! So don't worry about me, fanboi. Oh and you are damn straight I am going to speak out in a negative manner, I was ripped off by the clown! I am entitled to post my personal review for others to read as a warning before they decide to buy this garbage, I do not care if you agree with me or not, it is not open for debate, he LIED, it is right in the book, doesn't get much easier! The man is a spammer, and a bad one at that! I am still getting daily spam from him in addition to requests to "authenticate" over and over, you click it and it says "Accepted, welcome [or some other trash]" then asks you the same question a day later. I had to block him at the ISP level due to all the crap he sent!

No new news. The Facebook page was very active for a while, now nothing for the past week.
edit: I have received several e-mails from Learning Strategies over the past week. One was to give discounts if we place books to libraries (not sure, but seemed like it was for all Learning Strategy books, not just the puzzle) and another for the Prosperity Paraliminal.

Same, about the buying books for libraries e-mail. I was hoping there would be a clarification from Pete about the cipher code being different in kindle vs print books.
