I had a Chevy exactly like the gold and black one in the 70s. Had a nice 400 small block w/four bolt mains, Edlebrock tunnel ram intake with Holly 650 duble pumper, and a hot Crane cam, Hooker headers and loud through Hush mufflers. The engine was blueprinted/machined heads, and the tranny was a Munsen with a Hurst lock shift. I also had a line-lock to do some awesome burnouts. That car was fast and looked awesome. Then one night when I was stoned and showing off, I did smacked into a curb while doing donuts in front of friends and bent the A Frame.
I rigged the headers to the tail pipes with a ball valve so that I could run it with Open Headers at Raceway Park in NJ.
Took the engine and trans out, put it in a cutlass which did not look nearly as cool. Ahhhhhhh, the good old days.
