There are a lot of odd phrases in this story. Here are a few:
silence frees space
whoosh of pain sparks
pained body parts
I am sure we can add more to this list.
What can they mean? Any ideas?

I've got a lot of possible hints written down...is it proper to post them?
From memory, I believe the "pained body parts" helped to hide Thomas Paine's name? (I got this from Jenny's story.)

It is up to you if you want to share. This hunt has gone unsolved for four years. So I see no issues in posting anything you think might be a hint to a solve. I see this forum as a means to dissusion.

It's been a while since I worked on this hunt. But I remember thinking the 'pained body parts' most likely hints to something about his parts being scattered all over....and so may the clues in this 'Investigative story'. Here is an article on Thomas Paine parts (it might not be the best one): articles.latimes.com/2001/apr/01/news/mn-45431

I remember reading a similar story, but I never thought to associate it with "pained body parts". Thanks, Jenny.
