How does a person come about owning these items?

Thank you for your generous donation Copper Dan! You have been a continuous supporter of the treasure hunting community.
This is a wonderful piece! Wow! Someone is going to be really lucky to win this! For those of you who are not familiar with Copper Dan's beautiful art, be sure to check out his website. He travels to do shows too, so you might even get a chance to meet him.

Way to go Z Team! I see you woke up from a long winter's nap....just in time for the Masquerade Tribute.
Thanks for the hunt Samantha! Looking forward to more of your upcoming puzzles in the Tribute.

Is this something a hunter can solve from their home, then once they have figured out the proxy's location, they can leave their home to retreive it?
Or is it something that can only be acheived by being physically in Virginia?
Is this hunt a one-day event? Or do you think it will last longer?
Your website has very little information describing the hunt.
Thanks

I have questions about two of the rules.
The following rule seems confusing to me. It isn't written very clearly:
Send the first message received at info@cashunts.com with the Cashhunts treasure code from the email address you used to register, and you will be the winner. Use the subject heading "TREASURE FOUND" in all caps.
And for a botg hunt, the rule about calling in your find up to 3 days from finding it, does not seem fair to all participants. I would think that 24 hours is plenty of time to give someone to send in the code. Everyone owns a cell phone today. Why would a person take 3 days to call in the numbers? In that period of time, you could be costing other participants travel time and cost getting to the hiding spot, and once there, the treasure is missing and has not been reported being found.
One other question: Are searchers finding the teasure, or is there some type of proxy item that will be found in place of the actual treasure?
When are your books coming out?
Thanks for answering.

I spent a ZONED EVENING or two SCRATCHING my head...especially on that 8th line of the puzzle!
These puzzles wouldn't be fun if I couldn't look back and laugh at all the haunting ideas, red herrings (not intentional, of course), and dead end turns I made along the way.
And as usual, I learned a lot of history about Skagway.
Thanks for another fun and spooktacular puzzle hunt, and thanks for the prize!

Thank you Forgotten History Hunts for a fun hunt and for some forgotten history! It was quite an interesting mystery about the Morse Code.
Congratulations to the winners.

I live just outside of Pittsburgh, and the bricks you mentioned are the outline of the old Forbes Field. They are in the Oakland section of the city, a VERY busy section. The University of Pittsburgh is there, Carnegie Mellon University is there, the Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Library, Schenley Park, and Presbyterian Hospital all are in that immediate vicinity. People are near there almost constantly. It would be almost impossible to go there and bury or hide something and remain undetected, even at night.
