I'm sure you can't just submit an answer?

If you turn the graphic on the cover, it kind of looks like the United states? or could it be a loose drawing of a county in which the treasure is hidden.?

Hi all, I've joined this treasure hunt. My book arrived with the same inscription. It appears the website www.thewhistlepig.net has returned as well with a new black and white animal image! The game is afoot.

I have a theory on where the key is, does anybody live in the Boston area want to check it out?

Looks kind of cryptic, but here's what the about me says: "“The Whistle Pig” is published by Canvasback Press and written by Duck Miller. You may purchase “The Whistle Pig” from your local independent book store or from Amazon. Please consider this site as independent of your experience with the book." I will say, back when I got my copy I went to the website just to see if it was still up and it hadn't been put back up, so it seems it may not be related.

Just sent in some questions on what the site runner means by "independent of your experience with the book" and what/how they intend to use the website. This was the message I got after submitting: "Thank you, fellow traveler. May the sun stay warm on your face along your journey." I'll keep you updated if I get a response

I posted this same message twice on the "6 Questions page" but it never showed up, so I decided to try here.
It's a shame there isn't more information and discussions concerning this specific treasure hunt. Probably because the prize is rather vague.
After doing online research, the Mellon Arena sounds correct to me. I think I've been there twice. If the site's been paved over, I'm not sure digging would be allowed. Then again, wouldn't it be funny if someone already "dug" a hole, found the treasure, and covered it up. After all, pot holes happen quite frequently (lol).
Wish I knew more. Expensive book though. Does anyone have a copy they would want to part with... cheaply?

I like the Mellon Arena as a potential solution to the "Bare the Cross / Leave the Center / Find the Fruit" hidden message. But this is just one clue from the book. There are many chapters full of allusions, dates, names, and places. I feel that Mellon Arena idea puts too much emphasis on the one encoded message and ignores the rest of the book. Just my personal opinion.

There are a ton of reasons why I believe the key to be in the Boston Commons or nearby. Pg 1 Freedom trail goes thru Boston common, Townsand nickname “T”. Pg 25. Black star and gold fish, black star on freedom trail, gold fish is sacred cod which is gold and at statehouse in Boston common. The whole book is like the egg hunt and the theme is people who were killed or died tragically. Poem on pg 48 is about death. Pg 52 Jackson Pollack abstract black and gray #28, he died in car accident in 1956( pg 72) Malcolm X pg 79 has a dream...full moon about Lincoln who was assassinated. There are 12 others but like the egg hunt, there are many clues to the 13th man but nothing directly about him. JFK. Jack was his nickname, he served in the navy( pg 70 eager eagle eyes) he won the Purple Heart (pg 66 purple plastic pail) and had his famous commencement speech(pg 72). JFK was assassinated on November 22, THERE IS NO PAGE 11 AND 22 is an X. JFK IS THE THIRTEENTH EGG. There is a bronze(pg 79) statue of JFK. at the statehouse in the Boston Commons, there is also an attraction there called MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS, and one of the ducklings shadow looks like the groundhogs shadow... I believe the key is under the 3 or 4 brick to the left behind that ducks shadow(because 3 and 4 and left behind was repeated throughout book) I don’t know how to posts pics? Alternatively, if you go from the JFK statue to the church with no cross on roof(bare the cross) to the center(near old statehouse) than leave the center, you end up at New York Bank MELLON ( find the fruit) if anyone wants to check these spots, at least check out the shadow of the duck in make way for ducklings since I can’t post pic here...

The game is afoot. Is it confirmed that site is officially of the 'Author's - Duck Miller - for The Whistle Pig? Has anyone confirmed if the site is owned by the author? An inspection of the site’s contents shows a different name - one not previously associated with this hunt. It seems like someone else could have purchased the domain name. I would be cautious to assume the validity of the site in relation to the hunt. Lots of red flags.
