To be fair to all:
I received a question on this Dispatch and can say the following:
It is the most prominent, obvious, and largest item missing. An Agent will not need to scrutinize the missing piece of the image to correctly identify or see what was there.

I believe the missing item is a Quill, but it doesn't necessarily fit with the "what sound does it make" question. I believe the books are 1700's era leather bound journals, the note with all it's ink splotches was written with a quill, the upper right hand corner has what I believe to be an ink well. Let's get some conversation going!!

If it’s a quill, they normally were made from goose feathers, so a “honk” would be the sound, I think. I don’t know what to do with it though.

Never thought of that. Makes sense though, but I agree, I don't know what to do with it either.

Nice collaboration. I think you guys are right about the fountain pen instead of the quill. But what to do with that info.......

Also, what is a fountain pen doing with a bottle of ink? Dip pens require ink, fountain pens have their own reservoir.

Thanks Charlie 32! Yes, a fountain pen does have its own reservoir. It is the "dip pen" that would need to be "dipped". I just meant to convey that I didn't think it was a "quill pen", which looks like a feather. No worries, just figured it might help. In the end, I guess in context, a pen is a pen.

Yeah, a pen. What sound does it make though?

I don't think it's supposed to be the pen. It says "Make a sound like what you do with the missing piece". You put in the missing piece. "Put in". See the connection? I'll give you a hint: He's the President of Russia and lives in MOSCOW!

Here is what Intel #12 says about Intel #4...
Our sources suggest that there is only one right solution to Intel 4. To find the right one, you and you be silent, and make a sound. That’s what we think you might do.
In Intel #12 it says, "you and you be silent"...As "you" is written twice...or a person might say, two times....and two times can be interpreted as double...which makes it a "double you"....get it?

I like your assessment of the double U, however, I don't know what to do with it. I am convinced the missing item is a fountain pen. no W or double u.

If you look at this photo from one of my previous posts in this thread. The picture that I included is the actual photo that was used. It is cropped differently but it is intact and shows the pen.
