That's one way to interpret it....it's not how it is in my solve, but if it works for you, great!

I'm one to look at pictures as a hints in TTOTC TFTW.There are some pictures I've seen from deferent sits from these 2 books. There's a picture of a Indian girl lefting a flat stone and looking in the hole to me this is how forrest hid the TC it's in a tomb. Now if you are brave and in the wood move a log or 2. This poem even tells you how to search your location.

My greatest fear is that f put the treasure in an absolutely obvious place. Obvious, when solved. I am lost on the quote. Never overestimate. (%

My solve is: first stanza - why he did this and what type of area you're looking for; stanza two tells you where to start; stanza three has you go to your next place; stanza four is one last place and acknowledgement you've arrived, follow the directions; stanza five are the directions; and stanza six then expands more on stanza one and tells you more of what is expected. The 'picture' that helps the most - the map in the back of TFTW - it helps with stanza one.

Brown: brown Tommy=food for soldiers and railroad workers. Brown also bright when describing glass or polished wood. Brown study= mental fugue or gloomy. Brown as a berry, unknown really. Brown Windsor soup(Brown thick gravy, Totem Caper) Brown also eluded to a cook(Frosty). As far as his last statement with Cricket. The oldest known use of the word was used in a poem by the Danish in which it has nothing to do with the sport but the Danes like to think so. The poem was bitching about the Man and used a word meaning "close the door/latch behind you" and FF used this when his Don told Ford to leave the office. I found an amazing book on words and phrases' history.

It's the Beaver!!!!! I will explain later but I know where it is now! Just booked my flight for May. Waters will be high in most of the mountains in May. I haven't seen any clues that have anything to do with beavers. I guess I want to caution you for safety reasons. Don't want anything to happen to you, gudynuf.

I am going to Baltimore MD to meet with my sisters and work the solve. In a rough explanation: The Beaver is called the "Little People" by the Native Americans because of their architect techniques at building a home. They build dams (the natural bridge structure) to make the water high and to stop the flow of water to build up their lodge (home). They build there dome shape homes in the middle of the pond that look like a pie, hat, omega, and a circle... The word little is used most in FF's book along with the word two repeatedly. WWWH would be the stopping of the warm waters by the beavers. This narrows down the location of warm waters halt since there are only 500 beavers left in population and are listed endangered. Beaver homes are so strong that they are stronger then concrete. Built up by mud, sticks, rocks and trees (heavy loads and down huge trees). Beavers use their strong teeth (orange) that are covered in iron minerals and they never stop growing. They use their tails like a paddle or rudder to move around in the water. They slap their tails like a paddle when threatened. They have two openings at each end of the dome (at least most of them). The inside is dry above the water level. I do not think FF put TC in below the home of the beaver. Not a good idea putting your hand and head in a beavers home. No place for the meek. It's impossible to dig from the top and I wouldn't do that anyway because it's illegal. I believe the chest is near the area under the blaze. I would love to hear some feedback since I am sharing.

It's an interesting approach to hoB, but one that I'm not sure is correct. Have you searched for beavers, fenn, poem and chase in google? You'll find there are others who tried to make it work, so maybe you can look at what they did, see where they've been, etc. and see if you get anything from it. Toby & Shelley (A Gypsy's Kiss) seem to be onto beaver dams now?

That's pretty good thinking, as far as -why- a beaver dam might be part of this. What I'd do then is look for hints related somehow to it from the first book TTOTC and/or the postings here at Jenny's and at Dal's. I think that's kind of backwards though, I go through the postings and the books and try to pick apart each post, scrapbook, chapter, etc. Unless you have the first clue located, it's kind of useless to try to tie together any of the hints to a place. So the best thing you can do is look for the first clue through hints. The first clue, as FF has said, is WWWH. I hope you and "Team Gudynuf" have fun.

The 'home of Brown' is much easier to identify when you've figured out 'where warm waters halt'....

Do you think that someone who is sure about the location of the home of Brown could reverse-engineer where warm waters halt? ~Ben Raylor
Thanks for the question Ben. If you are sure about the location of home of Brown why are you concerned about where warm waters halt? But to answer your question, sure you could and a few searchers might throw in some gas money for a percentage of the take. Good luck.f
