Colorado also has a "Wagon Wheel" and vicinity that merit a look - (Any place that can lay claim to nearby locations such as 'Pool Table' Mountain coupled with a 'Pool Table' Park; including a town in between called "Middle Park"..... could well be unique to TTOTC, IMO.)
Weather for the next week appears to be good in and around 'Wagon Wheel Gap', Colorado, elevation 8,432 feet. Hope some will be able to take a look around!
Maybe.

Wagon Wheel has many nice connections but probably knot it. One, the river is called Huerfano, orphan-alone, the poet who lived there wrote Lil Orphan Allie, there is a decoder ring connected to her. The dialect is interesting. Gap is a tight focus, etc. But is most likely incorrect. I'm down right sure of it.

See the wagon wheel will represent a automobile wheel this is one of the riches New he's not talking about a old wagon wheel but that is what you will think and say thinking.Forrest never took the parking lot out of his poem he just never let that be known.

Sorry but if the poem doesn't direct me to the book and then back again I don't pay it much attention. There is a mechanism to the poem. Zero ambiguity once you have the first clue and it will lead you to next. The book may not be necessary and I'm learning that it may be possible without but tough. If you are a puzzle person and if you get on the trail you may find that some of yr original thoughts were correct. Mapping, yeah in a way and I have a spot but I don't trust it. Ben there Dunn that, I will let the poem take me in. Confirmation bias is a real bitch and weilds more power than we know. I will await that final message, now that I see there is a mechanism, to move.

No books now I have heard people talk about the books. But what I get out of the books is the pictures. IMO the pictures gives us clues in how to search for the TC and what to look for when we are in the mountains.

There's a horse shoe creek with a rock form wagon wheel it was hard to find because all dead trees on the ground the road is within 500ft from this place and a trail not far from it there's a 6ft water fall for my heavy loads and water high.I'm having a hard time with the blaze maybe its not rock it could just be the land in how it is shape But then I could be wrong.

Sets within the horse shoe. This is the location wwwh starts. I have found three words that will fit in ski Santa fe. The horse shoe, the wagan well and it is red,and the word hitch. All in one picture. Go to ski Santa fe on Google go to the pictures stroll down until you find the red wagan wheel the horse shoe is the road going around the parking lot. I think in one of the books there's a cable mention. The hitch are the ski chairs is hitch to the cable Or Winston trail for hitchhiker.

Ski Santa Fe is a good place to research. I have been drawn to it for several reasons:
Take a look at Scrapbook #140. - Chipmunk Corner at S.S.F. - Kids also love that place! Who doesn't enjoy a way too cool Easter Egg hunt spent on a memorable day on the slopes?

There's to much stuff that adds up to ski Santa fe. It sits below a hob. There's no driving below to the hob only walking trail 163 but from there your on your on.A very easy walk.

Ski Santa fe is in the boundaries of the 8.25 Not much further. Having just a enough is better then having to much. At this time this place is locked up. Not meaning closed down ICE ICE ICE AND TO MUCH SNOW. like I have mention your starting point is at 10350ft now you put in below 10200ft it's not far and it also sits below a hob a lot of stuff adds up at ski Santa fe this ant a idea this is part of my thinking in my solve. .
