The author, Pete Wilder, wrote this on the official Oracle site: 22nd June, 2018 Dear readers Thanks for all your recent submissions and thanks to genetic blend for setting up a new forum. I've had a look and I'm pleased to see plenty of discussion on there. I might even register and contribute from time to time.I personally want to say "thanks!" Thank you to Mr. Wilder for taking the time to come here and check it out! And thanks to everyone who has followed me here and contributed to the discussions! I am pleased that Mr. Wilder approves of this forum!
Since he mentioned that he might register here on MW, and might contribute, I thought that maybe we could start a thread here to ask questions to Mr. Wilder. But before you post a question, please try to research to find out if that question hasn't been asked before. Jenny Kile has asked her series of "Six Questions", and there have been many questions asked on the official site:
oraclebook.net/301.html
So before posting a question here, make sure it has not been asked already.
Also, I can not promise that ANY questions will be answered. I just thought that this might be a good way to address Mr. Wilder if he intends to participate in our forum. It is up to him if he wants to be involved or not.

Pete, As you can see, GeneticBlend has done a great job of setting up threads for each section... Would you have any objection to us posting the verses? Also, what about the images? Naturally I have retricted this request to only those items which freely appear on the main website

Was there an official start date for the hunt? Or even if anyone beside Pete knows an official year at least the hunt started. I have personally heard 2004 and 2005 in the past for the year.

Guestess, I get the clear impression that Pete has said all that he is going to say regarding the puzzle. He's released the final clue and that's it. As you can see from the above he's happy to respond to general questions but remains very quiet when asked any direct questions about the puzzle. Over the years he's released a lot of clues and even a couple of clarifications, I think he's now drawn a line in the sand and has decided we're on our own. I suppose it's fair enough, but I have to say I miss the anticipation of a new clue and the motivation it provides when released.

Hi, I am wondering if I can ask for clarification on the location of the prize being located in the UK. is it open to some out of the box thinking i.e. in the UK but not in the present time. Thanks

Pete has stated... "Somewhere in the United Kingdom, a token is hidden in an area accessible to the general public"
Points to bare in mind...the "United Kingdom" did not exist before 1707. Also Ireland as a whole was part of the UK until partition in 1922
BUT the token was hidden in 2004 so I think we have to assume that what Pete meant was the definition of "United Kingdom" for that year and that is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland is made up of 6 counties: Fermanagh, Derry/Londonderry, Armagh, Antrim, Down and Tyrone.
I see you have posted locations in Dublin which is in the Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland), about a 3 hour drive from Belfast (Antrim) and in no way is Dublin considered to be part of the United Kingdom. There is a border that separates Northern Ireland from the Republic Of Ireland.
I hope that helps.

Thanks Marc, I do realise that Dublin is not part of the current UK, I was just following a train of thought that the many references to time may also apply to the location of the token. There are an awful lot of connections between the pictures and Ireland. That was really the point of my question so I'm not disappearing down the rabbit hole. Another thought is maybe what I am seeing is a starting point to be charted from there. I can start a thread if anyone is interested.

It's an interesting idea to apply time to the token and great out of the box thinking, but Pete has also told us a few times that we are all OVER thinking things. I think this may also be an example of over thinking. My opinion is that there is no hidden or alternative meaning in "Somewhere in the United Kingdom, a token is hidden..."

You are no doubt right Marc. It is just one of those niggling ideas that is hard to put aside. I may be lucky and the author can categorically put it to rest. Thanks

Zupzel, I know that feeling well! The trouble is when an appealing idea gets into our heads it's very hard to shake off. I'm trying to deal with some of my own preconceptions at the moment and trying to view clues in alternative ways, it's very hard! Anything Pete can confirm on this thread will be useful as it creates a solid interpretation that we can work from. So with that in mind...
PETE, different people will (and are) interpreting the clues in different ways. What do you think is the biggest factor that would help to ensure that the clues are interpreted in the correct way?
