I thought it might be useful to start a thread compiling all the instances where the book is hinting at using “eyes”. Is this part of the master riddle? Is it a just a big red herring that also gives homage to Masquerade? Maybe if we list out all the references we can see a link?

Ill bite. In the very first illustration, the preceding page pulls out the word "is" on the 2nd "No Fox is an island". He also says "depending on other predators to get by, or spending your time with fools". In the illustration you have a bear, a snake and a rabbit. 2 predators, 1 "fool". 2 of those have red eyes

I think the year it ends, 2020, is a hint for 'eyes'.... or to look clearly and carefully...

“Eyes” - the cover shows several eyes on the tree trunks ...one is definitely on an owl and the other 2 single eyes are similar to the owl as well - every text page starts with the letter ‘I’ in the subtitles - many words in illustrations use a lower case “i” instead of an upper case letter even when the other letters are upper case (eg pg 23 shirt) - Pg 4 - quote “...now that you and I have crossed Paths, I’ll help you open up your eyes.” - multicoloured (black, red, blue) eyes all over the illustrations - Pg 8 - quote “But he wants more than his reflection.” - Pg 11 - the bottom triangle is pointing at the letter ‘C’ (see?) - Pg 19 - “An eye reflects” - Pg 25 - “I saw two tiny figures by my nose.” - Pg 34 - “All eyes in the fire” -Pg 43 - dice has snake eyes (1,1) showing
That’s all for now. Anyone else C any more eye/I references?

I have noticed that not all of the red/blue eyes are the same...eg ...some have pupils, some don’t ...some are like a true red eye reflex (meaning the pupil goes red and the whites stay white like in a camera flash). ...and in others the whites of the eyes are red like some diseased eye! Significant? Not sure.

amongst a few others

Speaking of the lobster guy....does his shirt strike anyone else as MAYBE intentional?? Like maybe there's a reason for the lack of G?

According to many articles I have read on google, Humans are the only animals with obviously visible eye whites. As I have looked through the book, I have found that many eyes are painted white. I am presently categorizing pupil, iris and sclera on all that I see and will post when I have finished.

Anyone else C any more eye/I references? Well, a lot of the chapter headers begin “I” There are lots more references. just using p. 19 as an example Fandangos two red EYES are a dot-dot, Morse code for “I” (the rv lights give 3 dash, one dash ... next to the COUNT TO THREE) the EYE is next to the polybius “I” and then a right angle down to the big red “I” ... right angle is basis for lat long in DMS (there is also a red I in smile that you get by continuing from COUNT TO THREE clockwise by counting two and landing on it at three) on the “lens” rim, the two l’s frame the 9,2,7,6...I B G F ... BIG F, the big gold key in reflection. ( on this, it looks like the 1 was drawn to possibly be used as an I ) the M is shadowed to give an I ( the comes into play on other pages, like p. 7 )

Solution: Bass Harbor Head Light (incorrectly call it Bar Harbor in my illustration) where the shadow of the house at night points to while also using the red glow of the head light on the ground. bmw x1 0 60
