I was looking at the four I's on line 18 and I think they are odd. I know that 4-eyes's have always been what people that wear glasses are called. It could also mean, 'for eyes'. And, another thing is the Four-eye-principle in business, where there must be at least two people that decide all business decisions and transactions. I know in my own business, we must have two people to sign checks. But what it made me think of was a bank lock box, where the bank holds one key and a person holds the other to open it.

The top layer looks like Fandango is stammering because he is nervous. There are probably several other meanings further down, plus we know many chapter headings begin “I” and I think one has multiple I.
On this page, there are 3 I before and after the IIII...343. Mount Desert Island is at North longitude 44.343, for starters. But I think there are other meanngs.

Actually, there are 4 "I"s before the 4 "I"s. (Line #2, #3, #5 & #14.)

That works, too. Thanks. I had been looking at the first THREE I on the page, in the context of staring (mentioned three times)...I /EYE.
Drawing a line through the three I gets you to “together”, ..
