For the short time I have been a part of the hunt and this forum. I have read several of the old threads here at Mysterious Writings trying to get caught up with the old thinking and the new thinking. I don't know how many of your posts and comments I have read of yours. I will miss reading posts Mr. mikemarcum03.

I have read Forrest claim to have hid it in August. Hi Astree -- if he hid the chest in August, it would have to be August 2009 -- after his birthday (a pretty narrow 10-day window). August 2010 is ruled out since he told Irene Rawlings in the second week of July 2010 that he had already hidden the chest.
Personally, I think he hid it in June 2010. June 20th, to be precise.

Thats quite a narrowing-down of the date (wow). Did you get that as a corollary to your solve and/or other information? At the same link i posted, Forrest said that he had been back to where he hid the treasure “a few years ago”. (from 2017). But elsewhere i think he stated he had not been back? I dont know ehat to make of the contradictions. I think at one time, he stated that he purposely gave an incorrect timeframe so people wouldnt look up rental car records. |

Hi Astree: regarding the rental car comment, it came during the Moby Dickens Bookshop appearance in November 2013 during the Q&A. It was an anonymous question from an online fan read to Forrest:
"Was the car you walked back to after hiding the treasure rented?"
Forrest: "Was it rented?"
Questioner: "Was it rented."
Forrest: "You know, that's the first time I've been asked that question. But I can't tell you how many times I've thought about that. That's why I've told people that I buried the treasure ... that I hid the treasure chest when I was either 79 or 80 years old because I don't want the exact date to be known because I'm afraid someone will go check the rental car records and how many miles did Mr. Fenn put on the truck or the car, and so I don't answer those kind of questions. But shoot that person that sent that email."

Very Kind Regards, npsbuilder I'm am the one who knows we're the TC Location is I have been within 100ft of the Tc and New it. I found the location in 1 day I put botg in 12 1/2 weeks so this means 3 1/2 month I have solve the ttotc. When I go get the TC I have let the TC sit in this location for 2 years.. Hoping for someone else to find it but that is not going to happen. Imo. I AM A BOLD MAN WHEN I KNOW I'M RIGHT. |

Mike: I keep waiting for you to post something -- anything -- that suggests you've solved even the first clue. So far, that hasn't happened. I think you should re-evaluate the statistical odds of your having solved the entire poem in a day, a week, a month or even a year, when tens if not hundreds of thousands before you have failed on much longer timescales.
