Yes this is going to fuel some mental gym sessions for the next few weeks. It’s the ‘200’, the ‘gut’ thing and ‘whispering’ that I still can’t get my head around. At least with Google Earth we can get a glimpse into what it’d be like to fly over his special area.

1 way to think about this is that the location is possibly near an airport and more specifically in the landing or takeoff path of the plane. I haven't checked but something in the back of my mind says that you are not supposed to fly lower than either 300 or 500 feet (has to do with power lines, towers and such). Any pilots out there that can confirm the minimum height to fly?

Approach and landing = under 200 feet. If your solve does not have a runway nearby then it's likely not correct. FF is an aviator before anything else. It makes sense that the solve would include aspects of his passion.
I've long said that the poem describes 'the last flight of forrest fenn' to go hide the tc. But solving the poem requires a change in thinking.

Literal interpretation verses imagination. Hmm. I heard that imagination is more important than knowle(d)ge.

nkown , I agree a runway, more specifically a landing strip, is near where the treasure is hidden. Flying at 200' is flying under the radar...lie low, drop out of sight, fly low, stealth, etc.

drawing from memory (was very distracted while watching) from last night's answers, didn't ff say that he lost his engine on 2 different occasions over the Rockies? Anyone ever heard about the 2 occasions if memory is correct?

Anyone ever heard about the 2 occasions if memory is correct? Q5)You have such a love for and fond memories of flying. Of all the flying you have done after the military, which was your favorite flight over the Rockies, as a pilot, and why? And which was your least favorite? A standout question Jenny. My favorite flights were those when I headed alone, and at 200 feet, into the teeth of the Rockies, not knowing, or caring, where I would land. My least favorites were the two occasions when I lost my engine and was fortunate to find runways to land on.

If we can access anything from the 200 feet mention it's that the 200 foot distance from the TC also includes elevation.
GE and Google Maps includes both vertical and horizontal distance. Meaning there is an elevation change leading up to the blaze.
That's my thought, but then again my solve holds true to that.
