This message by the creator of the hunt was posted in the Six Questions Thread and I just wanted to create a thread to use for all updates on The Hidden Sun Treasure Hunt. While its release might take a little longer, I'm still looking forward to it. It looks like such a great hunt! Thanks Ben...!
Hi I’m Ben the project’s creator. Thanks everyone for your backing, I really appreciate all the support for The Hidden Sun... it wasn’t to be this time.
I’m going to try and take it forward in between grafting for my day job, the family and everything that life throws my way. It will take longer but I do hope to have at least a digital version ready at some point this year.
The Earlybird reward tier could have been better thought out and I really tried to get a ‘Kickstarter Loves’ credit which would have given it many more eyeballs. The support has really spurred me on though, kind words eveywhere.
I’m looking to get sponsorship for the hardback book so will keep you all updated if that happens.
Right now it’s back to the drawing board, but keep posting here and I’ll be in touch as soon as I know more.

I purchased the Kindle version and just had a quick look through. The artwork is just amazing! I’m excited to dig into this one! Too bad I won’t be able to travel to the locations though, that would’ve been even more fun.

Currently you can not purchase the "real" book if you are in the United States. It is unavailable according to the Amazon site.

You CAN purchase a hard copy of the book for the United States, however the author stated yesterday that it is MUCH MUCH harder for someone out of the UK to solve it as it wasn’t meant to be a worldwide hunt. Being there in the UK is necessary to complete the hunt.

Being there in the UK is necessary to complete the hunt. I'm confused. This is what is says on the website. Where did he comment about it being necessary to be in the UK to complete the hunt? It looks really interesting, but I'm not going to waste my money if it can't be solved from across the pond.

This is on the official website, "The answers can be found using the clues in the book combined with online research and maps. Once we are safely out of lockdown, it will be the perfect excuse to get outdoors and learn about history, people and places at the same time – and although travelling isn’t necessary to claim the prize, it could help in your quest once it is safe to do so. The treasure will wait patiently." Basically, it would help if you were able to do BOTG, but not necessary to claim the prize.

Now that the MW website is up and running again I was able to look at the 6 Questions. It can definitely be solved through the book if you are in the U.S. I just picked up the Kindle version. All I can say is wow. Visually, it looks amazing.

Doable without being there, but it’s going to be much more difficult. “It’s a little different to how it’s described on Mysterious Writings (I’ve updated Jenny), in that I had to remove a ‘sub hunt’ based on clues from an American perspective. Feedback suggested it was too confusing but I plan on making the next one worldwide, 100% armchair for the masses. You can solve The Hidden Sun from home but it will be harder than if you’re in the area here, but it is possible.”

It's all good. Even if the book method is harder than the BotG method, I still don't mind supporting someone who obviously put some time and effort into it.

Hi everyone, I hope you're having fun trying to solve the clues and riddles in The Hidden Sun. Thank you Jenny for bringing my book to an international audience, it's been a thrill to see people's answers.
The treasure is still out there waiting to be discovered, so don't hesitate to get involved and learn more about our historical area.
To confirm, the answers can be solved from home with a little online sleuthing!
Happy hunting. Ben.
