Look at the base of the flagpole at the north side of battery park entrance. It has a lion in it like in the wave in the picture. I believe that between the flagpole and the subway station (V) look forward towards the isle of B (Broadway) and look down towards rhapsodic mans soil ( castle Clinton ) the casque is buried in the bushes there. That part of the park was not changed in the 80s so it should be there. Anyone wanna go dig?

Wow, nice work with the images. What you are seeing is no doubt the Giovanni da Verrazano monument in Battery Park. The flower is the sword stabbing into the books. Looks like the artist gave away a little there and modern software exposes the image that wasn't obvious. This makes a strong argument for the V being the Giovanni da Verrazano monument. Good image here: diannedurantewriter.com/archives/4584 ALSO! Her robe bends around the books the same as the bend on the bottom of her robe on the Giovanni da Verrazano monument. Looks like a large black characters spell EAST, or EAST.. steps ...

ok, latest refinement. proper orientation not determined yet, nor perspective. but i see lots of structures. just think looking thru a fog, keep it small at first, presents more structures. what do you see?

more refinement of area under flower stem. this view flipped horizontal. structure emerging defined by changes in shading. more coming thru the robe. as clear as i can get it at the moment. just looking for one feature i can lock onto. onward.

from posted pictures taken of original. under the birds foot, this square is "blank", yet the book image has the onions, why? was a clue added or obscured in the book image? "blank", but not empty. clue? i see a square on one point in this orientation, tilted back a bit and to the right? i have marked deliberate looking features, but may be too close in. now, i will do the same to book image. onward

i went to my phone gallery to grab my LMona Lisa work at the top of the image. Then i saw the middle left full image. I immediately did a screenshot, cropped it to 1:1, and now posting it. Image 12 chest work, inverted, filtered and a touch of blur. Nothing added. It is one thing to detect anomalies or artifacts, quite another to recognize and understand, as we all know. keep image as small as possible to preserve artifact resolution. Recognize anything? experiment with orientation to help. Orientation not clear to me yet. btw. Palencar and Da Vinci concealing artifacts in ladies' chests, must be an ancient artist 'tools of the trade' sort of thing. Both use white to conceal the most important elements, too, imho.
