I don't know when the back sign was removed but my best guess would be 1962 when Roth family did an extensive refurbishing to the building. I chose Siren because speakers play siren AND also fits the "cask is kept" line. In addition to speaker "cage" for kept, there are a couple of mermaids in Gh. Square fountain by Ruth Asawa. Similar to the woman in the image, one of the mermaids' arms are in cradling (kept) position holding a baby. You can see a pearl where I marked with yellow circle in the image last page where wrist bone is. Also the two mermaids are positioned in yin yang pose. Ruth Asawa was in Japanese American internment camp during WWII at age 16.

Speaking of sirens, another "sounds from the sky" could be the Outdoor Public Warning System in San Francisco. It is tested weekly every Tuesday at noon and the system has been in place since WWII. It has been in the news recently as they are shutting the system down for 2 years while they do a system upgrade. Definitely would be a "siren" that locals are familiar with.

Also radio station KFOG used to broadcast at the Ghirardelli clock tower; fog is in the sky, sounds from fog!

I'm sure most if not all serious searchers have already read or heard the podcast on 12treasures.com It's either a radio or a Geiger counter!

Looking at the rose petals closely there is an āAIā side by side in the middle. Nothing groundbreaking, long speculated the rose represented Angel Island...just not sure why it didnāt pop out before. Some have said they see numbers or string beans...looks like āAIā to me.

To push the speaker tower and lady Siren agenda, the whole rose thing looks like earlobes and inner ear.

I see an S and a T...not sure about the rest.
How do you guys feel about Fort Mason? It has āGiant pole, Giant stepā with the oversized flagpole and set of stairs and is right next to Aquatic Park and Black Point. There has been a lot of debate over the figure in the rocks. Some say Lincoln, others think JFK, but what if itās actually Reagan? Reagan was at Fort Mason while in the military and is a president from California, unlike the others. Logic would dictate its more likely to be Reagan. The Benny Bufano sculpture seems to be a reasonable spot to look, where it was in the early 80s that is. Someone on the SF Facebook page also suggested the spot in Image 1 where the dragonās nose juts out could be for the traffic island on the Fort Mason grounds and the casque could be in the middle?
