efanton, if you could look up when the domain was registered, what happens when you go to that domain? What kind of a home page do you see? you cant. without the whole address DNS (Domain Name Server) cant assign an I.P. Address I would be like trying to enter AAA.GOOGLE.COMTheir might be a way for some tech savvy individual to discover the names of the server(s) on that domain, but I wouldn't have a clue.

But you can still go to google.com to get an idea of who owns the domain.

But you can still go to google.com to get an idea of who owns the domain. No, that doesnt work either. You get the details of who is managing the site, who set the site up (WIX.COM, GoDaddY, etc etc), or the details of a company or organisation. Lukas Stanley would never have been stupid enough to register the domain in his own name for all to see. He would definitely have used a 3rd party.

More power to you if you're right, efanton. Personally...I don't think key 1 is a website url. If it is, then Lukas' comment on the video page isn't accurate. He said, "...there are two "keys" which are pieces of information that are used to unlock the chest, whose location is also alluded to in the riddle." So the keys are used to unlock the chest. He didn't say they are used to find the chest. Also, the end of the riddle has: "Then with your newfound knowledge You must travel through black flame..." If key 1 was a website address, why would he need to tell us that we have to travel through black flame after we figure out key 1 and key 2? We would just need to type in that address. That's how I read it at least. But I'm happy for you to prove me wrong by claiming the $1000. I think the first key is a web address. once there we use TWO stanza's to solve the hunt "To find the second key You need assistance from a man Whose fortune came as a surprise While clearing wood upon the land Then with your newfound knowledge You must travel through black flame The place where alchemy’s best is found Will help you win this game" as someone has already pointed out that first stanza probably related to Paul Bunyan. Someone else points out the second stanza sound as if it related to alchemy or the Harry Potter books. PB is the chemical symbol for lead. So I am assuming that once we find the web address we use the two stanzas that I have quoted to solve the second key

No, no, I'm not saying to look up info on who registered the domain. I'm saying if you know the domain, can't you go there in a browser? In other words, if I own somedomain.com and I have a page blah.somedomain.com, someone could still visit somedomain.com even if they don't know about blah. I'm just wondering what the home page looks like even if you don't have all of the url figured out.

I see what you're saying. That 'newfound knowledge' refers to key #2, not both of the keys. Could be. It still doesn't explain his comment "there are two "keys" which are pieces of information that are used to unlock the chest." But could be. The problem with Paul Bunyan is that it only relates to someone clearing the land (being a lumberjack). I asked in the other thread how Paul Bunyan found a secret fortune, and the originator of the theory said that part of it has them stumped. So...maybe but I think there's something else that matches that stanza better, with clearing the land and also finding a secret fortune. But, again, we'll see. There can be a million theories but only one right solution. Your guess is as good as mine since I obviously am not $1,000 richer.

Another thought I had about this stanza: "Piece number one will call a place..."
Maybe we're meant to use a telephone keypad. For example, if the magic word is womb, then maybe the final solution to this stanza is 9662 (WOMB on a phone keypad) or something.

Piece number one will call a place That fits you like a glove For nothing is as strong or fawning As a mother’s love
a place That fits you like a glove? This has me completely stumped. Is it the name of an actual place, town or city?

I think Key 1 is a website link and Key 2 is a password you enter when you arrive at the website. As far as the potential website address, I'm really stumped! If Key 2 turns out to be a password, I might have an idea or two. Also, maybe the website address has 20 characters instead of 10? "ten cuts, ten pins and turn" right? I feel like we're right around the corner from a solve!

First, I'm in the camp that the first key is a web url. I have already come up with several yyy.zzz parts that actually resolve to actual websites, including one nonsense site that purports to be a bakery with nonsense wording and one tab with some Norwegian in it.
For the first piece (the xxx. part), I'm thinking it might refer to a musical album, given the clue in the previous stanza refers to "ten cuts". This could refer to the ten cuts/songs on a typical album.
I've been trying since last night to think of an album title that will call to this place referred to in Stanza 3.

Actually thats brilliant thinking. Your idea of it being album does make sense one album that I know has exactly 10 tracks WAR - U2 Found this search engine that will allow searches of different kinds for released singles, CD, Albums. musicbrainz.orgFair warning the search syntax if fairly complicated but I managed to create a search listing all released media with EXACTLY 10 tracks more on query syntax here, unfortunately the list is too long to be easily usable musicbrainz.org/doc/Indexed_Search_SyntaxMy search query for releases with EXACTLY 10 tracks musicbrainz.org/search?query=tracks%3A10&type=release&limit=25&method=advanced
