From The Art of Hidden Messages FACEBOOK PAGE (ABOUT SECTION):https://www.facebook.com/pg/TheArtofHiddenMessages/about/?ref=page_internal The prize can not be disclosed at this time, as it has something to do with the theme of the hunt. But it is worth between $25-50. The prize will be sent to the winner at no charge (unless they live outside of the continental United States). The prize will be revealed at the end of the hunt, so that everyone will know what was awarded.

Hello! If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.
Be sure to send your email address so that I can send you a pdf of the armchair hunt/puzzle on August 4th. That way you can get started at the same time as everyone else.
I also have two other hunts in development. One has a pirate chest as the prize, and the other has a Wizard of Oz theme!
I hope we can all have fun!

Hello vitta! I am not sending any confirmation emails for signing up. That would be just too time consuming for a small, free hunt. If you don't receive a pdf on Sunday, you can let me know. But I did check my email list, and I don't see a "vitta". Perhaps your email has another name.

As of today, I have had 50 people register for the armchair treasure hunt! The competition field is getting larger!
I don't expect this hunt to last very long. This particular armchair puzzle wasn't designed to be very difficult, which is one of the reasons it is free, and has a small prize. So if you plan to participate, get your email address to me soon. Send it to TheArtofHiddenMessages@gmail.com I have had some people say they want to participate, but you have to send your email. Just telling me doesn't put you on my email list to receive the pdf.
And also, be sure to take a look at the Rules on the facebook page under the "About" section.
Thanks, and good luck to everyone who enters!

Maybe in 1905, there was some sort of cicada blight! Although, I am not quite sure if that is a cicada The eyes are not bulging out too much. Maybe lightning bug? The upside down jumbled or encrypted words have me dumbfounded.

The one and ONLY thing I figured out so far is what this bug is! I only have a little time today to work on it. But Google Images helps for the bug! I did a screenshot, and then cropped it to just the bug. Then searched Google images. Voila!
I haven't figured out ANYTHING else though!
