Seems to me the first 3 clues to the first key have to relate in some way to ten cuts, ten pins, and turn. Ten cuts realating to 3rd stanza.10 pins for the 4th stanza and turn realating to to 5th.seems that 10 pins definitely connects to some kinda bowling reference with a bird thats rarely thrown being a turkey could even maybe be somthing called a golden turkey wich would be a treasure on its own.i believe astride and beside indicates somthing on either side perhaps a spare wich resembles a foward slash.or two forward slashes as indicated by plus two.while i do like the music connection people have come up with i cant for the life of me see how it connects to turn.same could be said about 10 cuts .im just not seeing how it connects to stanza about first piece of the key.i believe the place to enter the keys is gonna be directly realated to to stanza about black flame and alchemys best .maybe if we can crack that verse first it might give us a better idea of what kinda keys we're trying to put together.anyways just a tjought

A thought i just had relating to explode ,the strongest wind no sea legs here, a song by D.D.E. if you go with the c4 f5 c6 and e6 could be moves you might make when its you TURN on a game like battleship .that would be game you would play carefully and TURN could simply connect to your turn in the game

Those are all good thoughts. I totally agree. I tried the Battleship angle but didn't get anywhere. That doesn't mean it isn't right...

Somthing else to kick around.asistance from a man whose fortune came as a surprise while clearing wood upon the land. Could this have somthing to do with Markus Perrson aka Notch (the creator of minecraft) hes fortune came as a surprise as he was creating the game as a hobby and never expected the success it would become.?

Ok so im kinda thinking out loud again here and im not sure this taking me anywhere but i was thinking about 2nd stanza a little bit. Its seems possible to me that this stanza could be being overlooked and simply taken as a basic instruction to put the next 3 stanzas together. But could there be more? "The first key is quite standard" - Is this refering to a standard phone keypad? "Ten cuts" as in 1 and 0 are cut because they have no letters associated.10s cut. "Ten pins" a pin is another way to say number. 1 through 0 would be ten numbers. "And turn" as in turn letters into numbers or vice versa."But the key is split in three" as in three letters on each number." And must be put together first" meaning somehow put this info together with stanza solves. I find it interesting becuase the very next stanza starts with "piece number one will call a place" of course you could use piece number one to call a place but you dont "have" to. Anyways thats as far as ive gone down that road so far but it occurs to me if we use ten cuts ten pins in and turn in that way then that might help create different possibilities for solving the stanzas that follow .what i mean by that is it would kinda free me from the idea that stanza 3,4, and 5 have to connect to ten pins ,ten cuts ,and turn . Id really love to hear others thoughts on this . Thanks for reading.

So im continuing here from "cipher" thread .i do have some possibilities for stanza 3 that would produce a binary number but im keeping that one close to the chest till i can be sure weve got stanza 4 and 5 solved correctly. Also thinking about the second key i havnt got as far with one but something somebody else pointed out was periodic table and possibly what produces gold .if we can produce a grid from this we can produce another binary number fairly easily. Also the solve i got for stanza 3 would connect to ten cuts.anyway from what i can clearly see at this point is each stanza 3,4,and 5 will definitely produce a binary number and ten cuts ,ten pins and turn will fit with this solve for stanza 3,4,and 5 .the trick now is dialing in the finner points.1 we've got to identify the correct grid pattern for stanza 5 and weve got to figure out the correct value for stanza 4 (is it 30 +2 or is it 30 and 2 ) or maybe is it whats next to Turkey for example if its a perfect game would it be x on either side maybe making it 20 or 22 or 20 and 2.if someone has thoughts on this .help me get there and ill share my potential solve for stanza 3.if anyone isnt sure how basic binary works you can easily learn with a 5 min video on youtube.(as i really didnt know anything about it when i started this puzzle ) .The thing thats really clintching this for me is stanza 5 ,c4,f5,c6,and e6 . Alot of us see the grid here but couldnt make the connection, battleship, chess, both games use this kinda grid pattern and when you put this together with solve it easily produces a binary no matter how you do it . The trick here is making grid correctly. I suspect the 2nd key is gonna is goona use this same methodology somewhere as i see another totally possible grid pattern emerging. Anyway thats all for now..im still eagerly awaiting this clue hoping it will solidify my thinking on this someway.

The philosophers stone turns Lead into Gold, so what if say, on a normal playfair cipher or polybius square we exchange Lead PB for Gold AU, would that help?

I really like what your thinking here.seems a pretty logical approach.

I find it strange that each stanza 3,4,5 all seem like they produce a numerical value of some kind.perhaps ottendorf cipher?(not sure of spelling)like national treasure the (first one) where the numbers may reference a particular verse line or word or letter.so if you have both keys possibly they reveal a hidden message right inside the riddle.

Also i cant seem to shake the fact that ones and zeroes or 10 seem to be a reoccurring theme in this thing.

Also i cant seem to shake the fact that ones and zeroes or 10 seem to be a reoccurring theme in this thing. and there is the problem as I see it. Convince yourself of a possible solution and you will see nothing else but things that support your hypothesis. the problem with this whole puzzle is there are no obvious or perceived limits You will see what you want to see but have nothing to limit or eliminate ideas or theories. If there are no limits, or direct clues as to a path of solution, then every theory is equally right, and its almost impossible to eliminate any of them. I could argue that EVERYTHING POSSIBLE could be reduced to binary, and you would have a very difficult time disproving that. The real issue is what clue has Lukas given us to tell us that BINARY must be used apart from the line "That’s made of ones and zeroes" which could simply infer that every single site, item or piece of data on the internet is stored as one and zero's and nothing more than that. My problem is that you could well be right. maybe we should be converting our solutions to binary and something magical can happen then. It occurred to me that the most obvious binary code to use, and probably the most used code in history, is Morse Code.
The problem is even though we might have some possible solutions to different stanza's, do we combine them before processing them through a binary translation (such as Morse or some other cipher), do we treat them as individual units that must be solved individually, or are we barking up the wrong tree altogether?

Good points .and i do agree on most levels but also i can see a theme deloping throughout "ones and zeroes" only being one reference. You also got 10 pins 10 cuts,10 stanzas if we take stanza 4 as some kinda bowling reference strikes are also considered 10,also my potenial solve for stanza 3 has a direct connection to ten as well.so just to be clear im not stuck on any idea just think binary would definitely produce a result on what seems to be a grid pattern for c4 f5 c6 and e6.(and would continue the theme )now does that mean everything has to be coverted (maybe and maybe not)as you say theres no way to know for sure unless it produces a result.im open to all ideas but so far this is best ive come up with that would link the best of what everyone has come up with so far.as none of the ideas really connect in any kinda way that anyone has noticed thus far at least.as you said there has to be some kind of direction to go on.i always try to consider every possibility and see if there is a way to connect it to give us some direction. Ive had all kinds of ideas big and small that may or may not be relavant but i put them out there and combined with ideas of others i make a sort of an idea wheel .this allows me to move differnt things around till at last something might come together. My theory is just one that connects more than one thing.(doesnt mean its 100%) the way to go . As of yet i havnt read or seen anything that connects more stanzas.alot of people are stuck one idea (it has to be a web address or phone number)maybe it is maybe it isnt.lukas did say the first key does not lead to a website and rather than get pissed off because its not what i wanted i just try reason why it might not be. No dout this is a very tough riddle and also his first but maybe reserve some judgement at least until some things are revealed because just maybe things will look a bit different in hindsight.Could be that something is starring us strait in the face and we just not seeing it.once its revealed we're all gonna be like ..duh. why didnt i get that.i got my thoughts doesn't mean there 100% but im always keeping an open mind.i enjoy hearing all other ideas as well
