oasis just looks like another crypto coin. There’s tons of them out there. This just seems to be another one. If I remember right this is the one literally ripping of ready player one with an oasis coin. And that they were going to set up these stations where you can go and get photographed from all angles in this special set up and it’ll make an avatar of you. It all sounded like another crypto pipe dream scam token. The page you linked just was showing the most recent blocks to be mined. I don’t think this is related to the hunt. Oasis has been around longer than this hunt

Wouldnt it make sense that a blockchain wallet is used with the fact that you need to keys to access it.public and private .

But crypto is very volatile and he couldn’t guarantee a thousand dollars left in there would still be a thousand dollars when the treasure is actually found. It could be half that....or ten times the original amount. Unless it’s a coin like tether which stays consistent with the price of a US dollar.

I was just wondering (as i dont know much about cryptocurrency or block chain wallets)but would it be possible to have cash loaded that hasnt yet been converted ? So if you were to discover the acount you could then convert it to whatever cryptocurrency you want based on current market value of your dollar?

I suppose so, yes. There are not many of them that let you park fiat money on, or use fiat money for that matter. Coinbase being the main one.

I don't recall seeing this before but I might have missed it. On the main page for the hunt there is this disclaimer:
"If someone is, for any reason, unable to collect the prize themselves, they may present the correct solution to me via the contact form on this website. An alternate method of transferring the treasure to the winner will be negotiated with the winner in this case, assuming the solution presented is accurate and that the treasure has not already been found."
Interesting... It tells me that the treasure page (which we know is an url) is not just a page where you submit your name and email and then Lukas will be in contact with you with regards to the transfer....
But why is this disclaimer here in the first place? Why not only on the treasure page itself? This is so odd. It almost looks like the treasure page is customized for a specific payment system (i.e. lets you enter your account info). PayPal most likely but who knows...

Looks more like general terms and conditions to me. I would make even more sense if Lukas had at the point of writing already planned to run multiple hunts.

Which you need for PayPal, or other like services, to receive money.

Yes, most likely no bank account is what this is about. The funny thing is, that TheCoyWonderer asked this question a while back on the YouTube video and never got an answer:
"To receive the money, should we find it, do we have to use a particular service or an app (like paypal, etc.) to qualify or have the prize available to us?"

Lads, you are over thinking or stretching the problem in my opinion. we need to find a website that leads to confirmation that our solution is correct then it will possibly lead to a payment site. talking about about possible solution to payment is putting the cart before the horse. I'm pretty certain that Lukas would not expect us to go directly to a payment site, so your discussion is complete mute, it servers no purpose.
What we really need to do is ascertain what website is associated with "X"
If we get the right website it will be obvious what we need to do next to claim the prize

I think it's quite possible the website associated with X *is* PayPal
