Lukas gave a bonus clue here:
Does stanza 1, saying 1's and 0's, suggest we do indeed go to a website, the location, X marks the spot, which is alluded to in the Riddle some way, and then the 'Keys' are used to unlock it...?
so take the first stanza:
Two keys unlock the chest of gold That’s made of ones and zeroes And the one that holds them both Will be the thousand dollar hero
so 'chest of gold' is made up of 1 and 0's.. a website.. example....chestofgold.com (it's not)
But now go to the 7th stanza... we would now have our two keys (from solving the previous stanzas)....(then with your newfound knowledge (the two keys)...
Then with your newfound knowledge You must travel through black flame The place where alchemy’s best is found Will help you win this game
I think it could be this stanza (and the rest) that might allude to the location.... the chest of gold.. alchemy's best...

Here's exactly what he said:
"Let me be clear about one thing: the following hint is not a solution to part of the existing riddle. It's an addendum to provide additional information about the exact location of the treasure.
The location of many buried treasures is marked by an X This treasure is no different X marks the spot."

Doesn't X = 10? I felt maybe the last Q/A saying a website is not given by the first key prompted the idea to not exclude it entirely..... or what are you thinking?

You know what I think is a little odd about his hint? He could have just said, "Here's the hint: X marks the spot."
But instead he made up another little stanza.

Been thinking on this a little and starring at the riddle and it occurs to me that the word treasure's is only used once in this riddle.he says many treasures are marked with an x this one is no different. Maybe the clue is saying we need solve this stanza to find our location. The hint could easily direct us here without giving us a solve . Simply giving us a direction to go to find our end location.

Well the KEY TESTER has showed how wrong my initial solves were. I just can't get away from the thought that we are missing something obvious about this whole hunt. I'm intrigued with finding the location of the treasure as that in itself might open up some new ideas. When Lukas crafted the riddle, I'm sure it wasn't in his plans to include a KEY TESTER mechanism (of which I am very thankful that he did).
Anyway, just checkin in... I'm still here and noticing new faces. Thanks for bringing a fresh perspective into the community. I (we) enjoy your company!

My guess is that Lukas initially intended us to call a phone number to verify the first key (Cicada 3301 had that step too). However, he then realized that it might not be a good idea after all (read posts in this forum about that topic) and decided to implement the key tester to avoid those problems. Not sure about the second key. Perhaps the same apply.

That makes a lot of sense If someone does find the first key it would definitely be still worth while to make a call if it does match a phone number, just in case there an additional hint. I'm just waiting to find out who was mad enough to try entering 9,999,999,999 numbers sequentially and exactly how long it took them to find the first key, LOL Would anyone be mad enough to even try it?

Lukas told us about the key testers in the October hint video. They are on the digital buried treasure website.

I considered the same thing, until I did the math. If you were quick enough to manually input one number every second, it would take 115,741 days. I’m pretty sure it will be solved by then (at least I hope so haha).
