If outline of the woman and her cloak is the N Lake park RD./Oak Leaf Trail AND her hand points to E Belleview Pl. (the outer most point of the trail where it meets Belleview/Wahl Av.) then Lake Park is pretty much the target area. E (bell) VU are you basing some of your theory on the Oak Leaf trail being the step on nature? No. Oak Leaf Trail was named in 1996. Step in nature is simply step on grass/lawn/dirt. Grand 200 refers to the Bicentennial Trail aka 76 bike trail which is now called the Oak Leaf Trail.

Doesn't View the three stories of Mitchell have to be a play on words for Jacques Vieau?

Time for some fun!
There are 3 'three's in the verse: View the three, At a distance in time From three At a distance in space If anything 'Twilight Zone' taught us is that distance in time and space is "Dimension". So we are at third dimension. Pass three... 4th dimension? Fifth! The 5th Dimension. This is the February puzzle, Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius (album) by the 5th Dimension!

Here's an alternate image supported area: E 'bell' VU in her hand; at E Belleview where it meets the 76 Bike Trail. Notice the blue outline of her index finger at the tip is flat streight line, not round. The outline of her hand in yellow resembles the park sign. Her cloak's hanging sleeve forms an oval plot. The tree trunk comes to a multiple branch split. The tree is long gone now. To the south of the tree is a nice little area to probe. I'm not sure if the park sign was there or not 40 years ago but the tip of her sleeve is close to JJP initials! goo.gl/maps/WHR38tPBv7tr6Kb26

Possible, The blue around the hand might be for something above ground like a sign. Another thought on step on nature ( a leaf ) might apply to the “ Linwood” ( a tree) water treatment plant.
Pointing to the ring finger joint as well as the initials

Sure , but you can find that feature in Lake Park too! I feel like this bridge is visible in the painting and it reminds me of the fence and fixture of Chicago as well as the columns from Cleveland. If I could make it to Milwaukee this would be the area I would concentrate on for the dig site.

Lets dissect "You'll see a letter": You = U See = C U C = CU symbol for Copper Cast in copper could ALSO be a hint to Kupper. Cast is a synonym for sculpt. See = Observe (Observation Point that is umlauted U shaped)

I don’t quite understand why anyone would look by the lion statues when the Japanese hints talk about the strong possibility ( the hint) “ tree” being the proud tall fifth ( see definition of tree). Nothing about a lion. The lion looking female profile is probably just a confirmation for the park and that’s all. Like the conquistador image is for Ponce de Leon archeological site in St. Augustine or Lady Liberty for NYC. The question one should be asking about is that #5 sign post in the picnic area . Is it still in the same location for the last 40 years or has it been repositioned. Interesting when he uses the word barrage in the sentence. Could he be talking about the much information on the sign post. Hmmmm ,and drumbeat is a synonym of barrage.

What's so proud about a tree? If it refers to it's height then why describe it as tall too? It's like saying a tall tall tree. Regarding the Japanese translation, that's his opinion.

All those hints that you see in the Japanese text are directly from BPs mouth, not the translator. No one is going to publish a series of thoughts of the translator . I don’t know if you call that a third person narrative. He says tree because that is your clue to crack open a dictionary enlighten yourself and look up the definition of a tree …..it’s the post. Look , the number 5 post has arrows pointing in two different directions (a barrage?) and might one consider that it is pointing up and down as well? Is it 5feet tall? It certainly is the #5 post with the letter “P” on it. The post is raised above the surrounding area ( proud), and it is tall . I don’t see where proud = tall. Trying to keep it simple. I don’t think one should turn an adjective( proud), into a noun( pride).
