The number 57 seems to be important to the puzzle.... it is seen a few ways....some of which are as follows:
The year of the Wine bottle on the shelf The sum of the two page numbers with number squares..40 and 17 (excluding letter square on page 11) (plus 57 is a multiple of 19 (used in number squares) The Dice shown can be considered numbers 5-7
Seems by design 57 appears, much like 47 (which can be explained partially by the year of the fire).... But why 57?

But why 57? The other piece that goes with the 19 factor, is that it precedes the 57 on the wine bottle. p. 19 is about "an eye reflects" and p. 30 has Harley staring. If we number the letters in 'CIRCLE THE GLOBE, OPEN T(=19)HE DOO(5)R, CHASE A(7) .." and count of 19,then 5, then 7 we get what could be part of a phrase "TO A". This appears to be reinforces because the sequence starts with T which is above the 1957, and goes “TO A”. (Also, TAO essence seems to go with Harley's character, but this would be using information outside the puzzle). Alternately, starting a 1,9,5,7 sequence at T above the bottle yields TARS, anagram of STAR. (compare to Harleys STARe). TO A STAR. ( oddity... HEinz 57 for bottled sauce, and HE...is just sbove and to right of the 57 )

Isn't the wine bottle out of place? Why is it on the shelf of books?

. Several things about this particular item.
1) Are we sure it's a wine bottle? (looks like one). How much information are we supposed to glean from it, if any (shouldnt need any abstract information, like, it might be a stockwell birth year - that might be just for fun, but would be misleading if that's all it was for). 2) The numbers on it seem to be the main information, maybe the shape. Usage as previously shown. 3) The WINE is directly below the T ... T+WINE ? TWINE? IN WET ? 4) Some may look at the year 1957 for further info, but I personally think that goes outside of the puzzle. 5) Your question about being out of place is a good one, may be to draw attention to it.

If you draw a line through the string holding Harley Quinn's the plum bob, it perfectly divides the "19" and "57" on the wine label. (And also hits the St. Sauveur Mountain elevation on Harley's map.)
Besides the wine bottle, I believe the only other drinks in the illustrations are the tea at the Old Lady's house and the coffee (if that's what it is) on the table next to the Proud Old Fop.
57 is a multiple of 19: 3 x 19 = 57.

So is it that '3' is important? Which on the KEY page, we see 'triangular' shapes with 'gold keys' in them...

. My sister drove from PA to MDI yesterday. Said its 50 there now, supposed to reach 57 today.
How about using 1957 as a book code, other than the one decribed above (TO A STAR) ?

If you look at the clock on the old lady page. The shadow points to 3, the long hand is on 1 the short hand on 9 and the second hand is on 57 3*19=57.

I copied and pasted the following from an earlier post of mine. May need double checked "There's a line in the story that says something like "Tallest Load Of...A Tale". I believe those letters is an acrostic to "bottle tag." Maybe pointing to the wine bottle? I'm guessing a bottle tag and label is not the same but I'm pointing it out.
