Susb... I think I have a good start on the bottom numbers, but nothing completely fits yet. Elyse or Susb...in what state do you think it is located?

I’ve only gotten the upper left numbers and the purple cypher text on the right border. I am not seeing what you all are seeing in these numerals though.

Golden...the roman numerals at the very bottom. sorry I didn’t say that clearly. I see them for sure, I just don’t see the pattern or decryption like a couple people say they have.

Got the purple letters now, still stumped on the color blocks! Musing over the scattered symbols. The ciphers I've cracked are definitely thematic. Also stumped over the reflection letters. Has anyone cracked the color blocks? Just give me a little hope that it's possible 😁

Ok, got the bottom roman numerals now. I was making that waaay too hard. I kept trying to relate the berry numbers to it. But then I read this comment on FB and it clicked: " I/we got one of the puzzles!!!!! Yyyeah! I was at a local Halloween hunt kickoff and showed the puzzle to a couple friends. One friend started rattling off numbers and I was like, I know what to do with those!! "
Got the purple numbers on the right.
That's about it for now. But...someone else on FB said that she could see words when she played with her PCs display settings. I couldn't find the phrase she mentioned (She said she can see "whew, it's dark in here") but I do see "2 far" when I play with brightness in Photoshop.
elysethecat: I also see strange circular smudges on the color blocks when I do that. I'll try to get a screen shot. Could just be nothing, could be something.
jewelie: as far as the state, I have no idea. I think the blue part looks like a reversed New York. I know that Nick Spera lives in the south, so I think it's probably down there somewhere. Nicolas also said that once you solve the general area from the ciphers, you need boots on the ground to follow the map. The image looks like it won't be anywhere near New England.

Actually you don't even need Photoshop to see those weird circles. Just download the image and look at it in something that lets you zoom. They're always on the pink bars.

I saw "2 far" pretty early on, but I cannot find that "whew" statement anywhere. I can only see the circles on the colored bars with the high quality photo. Likewise, if you look at the high quality photo, there is an upside down code in the white area...S (eye) 0 2. I can see it, but I need a hint as to the meaning. There are so many clues! I am still partial to Nevada, but I am hoping closer to the midwest as travel is gonna be tough for me until school break.

Jewelie - I figured the S-Eye meaning out by googling it. Hope that's enough of a hint!

Elyse...I got that clue after reading the "Halloween" post earlier. Considering that I am a licensed pharmacist, I feel more foolish than normal. I was hoping it would be like an address with a lighted arrow or something more substantial.

There have been a few questions sent regarding any fees involved in this hunt as far as location. The chest and key are both happily nestled in public access land. Finding them will not cost you a thing, outside of your travel expenses of course. We are very happy to see such a response to The Tone in the Tree and look forward to the process as well as providing future hunts! Good luck all!

For those of you who cracked those numbers in the top left...I need help. I boiled it down to a 2 letter answer that is a state abbreviation, but I am not happy with the state. I am hoping that it was just dumb luck and there is another way of boiling it down. Reassurance needed!!!

Golden...I have been working with that, but the 2314 is being difficult. Once you break the big number into little numbers, you are going to have an ah-ha moment soon after.

Golden...I have been working with that, but the 2314 is being difficult. Once you break the big number into little numbers, you are going to have an ah-ha moment soon after. you got it then. 2314 is 2 letters if that helps. It should make sense if you read from top Down. I did break the lower numbers all down to smaller Roman numeral numbers that are valid Roman numerals. I broke them down as big as they could be until adding one more letter would make it invalid. I still don’t see an obvious pattern? Maybe I need to break them further down?
