Finally got the Roman numerals at the bottom…. golden, if you're going to break them down further, you've gone too far. seriously, don't overthink it.

I finally figured out the roman numerals on the bottom, with some help. Geeze I was overlooking the obvious. I just decrypted the dark blue text in the gray square right now! Side note...How many keys have you guys found in the picture? I see 2..not counting the wood of the tree which kind of looks like one. The others are hidden in amongst the colors.

Those blue letters have me stumped. I haven't seen any keys!

Goldenchild, you have earned my respect. I have tried everything I know for those letters. I am thinking double encryption of some sort. Too many possibilities...not enough time.

I only saw one hidden key! Nice job on the blue letters. EDIT: Hooray! Now I figured out the blue letters too!!!!! Has anyone cracked the color blocks yet? I'm still stumped.

Dang I lost my edge! Good job on the blues. It is actually pretty simple. Specially if you have solved the previous codes up to that point. Now how to use this information?

Color match and use what you've already figured out

Color match and use what you've already figured out like the blue letters in the upper left to the blue cypher text in the gray square? And purple #’s to purple letters??? Has Anyone figured out why the purple letters on the right border have solid ones and ones with polka dots? Are they related to the pink dots on the upper color code? Or to the heart with dot in the upper left?

Goldenchild...I have not found a reason why the letters on the right are differently colored. It might have 2 messages, but I have only cracked one.

Does anyone feel like they’ve locked down a state yet? I am leaning strong to Virginia myself. The blue section in the middle bearing a strong resemblance to Virginia being the obvious one. It is not exact, for one the eastern part of the state butting up to water is cut off. And the upper boundary isn’t exact. But the red berries look to be Holly to me. And there is a holly that’s native to Virginia called “Virginia Holly”. Also if you look in the small brown section to the bottom right of the skull and crossbones the same shape is shown again. Looking like Virginia without the eastern waterfront. The different grey sections on the bottom of the image look like bays, islands etc that could maybe be matched up with an actual map? I live on the west coast and highly doubt this will be close enough for me to ever go botg. I just love puzzles and codes. I’m dying to share all my thoughts and finds so far but don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun. Seems like everyone’s kinda in the hush hush phase of the hunt still.

I don't have a state yet. But I thought the berries looked like cranberries, the state fruit for Wisconsin and Massachusetts. I agree, does seem like some of this should be state border map fragment.

The state could be Arkansas. Turn the image upside down. The trees and their branches now along the right border are correctly oriented, growing upward. In the upper right corner is a diamond. Arkansas’s state gem is the diamond and also the location of The Crater of Diamonds State Park. If you look down along the right border you can see the orange flames in brown dirt and dark brown rocks, and immediately above are white billowing clouds of steam. This could be referring to Hot Springs National Park. The branch with green leaves and red fruit could be an apple tree and the state flower of Arkansas is the Apple Blossom. The state could be Missouri. The cardinal direction “S” in on Arkansas side of the diagonal line would make the “N” side Missouri. Turn the image right side up. Missouri is known as the cave state and the right side images appear to be caves with green stalactites and stalagmites. The two white flowers could be the White Hawthorn Blossom which is the state’s flower. The skull and cross bones could be the Mark Twain Cave and its history.
Of course, all of the above is pure speculation on my part and I haven’t solved enough of the coded messages to confirm any of this.

So I’m new to this type of thing. I just joined a couple days ago. The only thing I’ve been able to figure out is the message in the upper left corner. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong. the other scrambled words and Roman numerals alone the bottom are different ciphers. There are online code breakers that you can use to decipher them. You just have to test out the different types of code breakers to find the right ones. Dcode is a great website to use.
