while researching Twains time in SF i noticed some of the drawings have E J as the artist. Edward Jump, Twains caricaturist. is this why E and J are capitalized in the verse?

I don't think capitalized Twain or Justice necessarily mean the name of a person. I've noticed BP using this as putting emphasis on a word similar to italicizing i.e. Fair remuneration, capitalized Fair I suggest could be a homonym 'fare'. Fare remuneration could mean pay for service like a paid phone. Coin slot looking things present in the related image. Twain, as described in Japanese version of the book translation of hints is related to name of a person. Literal meaning of Mark Twain is mark #2 OR two fathoms; 12 feet. So with my simplistic logic we are looking for either a 12 foot statue like statue of Columbus or Diana or a twin tower (attention). Another example could be the speaker towers in Maritime Park; even have 'step' in the design.

Twain, has several meaning, its a depth means 2 fathoms or 12 feet, Mark twain is considered the lowest depth for safe water travel. it also mean two, couple or pair..and Twain is a registered name so it for it mean last name legally it should read Mark Twain.

I totally agree with Twain meaning two, couple or pair. I believe it also means split into two. I think the capital "T" in Twain means something all on it's own (like where L sits).

Twain object fun fact. Samuel Clemmons frequented the The Bank Exchange, SF top saloon at the time. 'Samson and Delilah' painting hung in this saloon and apparently He commented on it. It now hangs in the deYoung Art Museum at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. i love this hunt.

That stuff is too flavorful for me even-though I like anise-seed toast. Might as well drink flavored moonshine!
