If you follow my images above there is a Sundial in the area of the third image. It has 3 and 4 in Roman numerals and it would point to an area in the dirt just below it.
Update: This sundial monument is no longer in it's original location, the original location is lost with time. Not unlike the NY situation. So probing or digging at it's current location would be wrong if this was the clue. It was apparently moved around 1995 during renovations. See here: nscda-ca.org/projects/past-projects/
