Does anyone else think the keyword is I/eye? An eye focuses. It has been pointed out quite a few times, that the EYE KEY stack in th poem, was posted within a day or so before Forrest made the "tight focus with a word that is key" comment. While I think he may have been playing off the EYE KEY, Im not at all convinced that is THE key word he was referring to.

The pitcher’s eyes are in “tight focus.”

1Q) My previous 6 questions were asked shortly before last year’s February 27th segment of the Today Show. Reporting on your extraordinary treasure hunt, it resulted in an explosion of new seekers from all across the world. What are some of your thoughts about the flurry of activity over the past year? Did the excitement towards the Chase surprise you in any way? Does it make you think the chest might be found earlier than first thought? It is interesting to know that a great number of people are out there searching. Many are giving serious thought to the clues in my poem, but only a few are in tight focus with a word that is key. The treasure may be discovered sooner than I anticipated. mysteriouswritings.com/six-questions-more-with-forrest-fenn/Question- Do you still believe that there is a word that is key that searchers should focus on? Forrest Answer- YES Question- Is the Key Word in the poem? Forrest Answer- There is one word that will help you more than some of the others- in the poem. But you have to have all of them. One will not take you there. youtu.be/5vH6aliCmTg

What would be the purpose of a “keyword?” Isolating WWWH.

What would be the purpose of a “keyword?” Isolating WWWH. A key unlocks. Since forrest said the first clue is WWWH, this makes sense.

A key unlocks. Since forrest said the first clue is WWWH, this makes sense. I feel like the key word pinpoints the last clue; otherwise, I don’t understand how the poem would lead directly to the TC

I think heidini and lbkgoat are both correct about what the "key" word does. It unlocks the 'way' to figure out the poem (the 'blaze' if you will), AND it brings us full circle back to finding the blaze and looking quickly down, our quest to cease. Which is why I believe the line reads "If you've been wise and found the blaze..." We already had to find it previously to warrant this past tense. I think the key word is but.

Reading the Bible earlier going through archaeological sites and something struck me. Reading about the Rosetta Stone and the Behistun Inscription and how they were key to unlocking unknown writings, something to this effect, what if we are to do something similar with the words in the poem.
For example - Begin - meaning start or Menachem Begin
- Tired - no energy or Adorn
- Tarry - be quick or tar
And so on...
There are many different meanings to my examples above. What I am thinking is that the Bible is our Rosetta Stone to cracking this riddle in the poem possibly.

Forrest said there is a word in the poem that will help you more than the others. IMHO. That word would not be as simple as one would think. But in it's escents would seem simple but is not being seen as it could be. There is a word in the poem that fits this description but as of to date I have seen no one use it in the context to change the concept as it is currently being used.

I have not heard anything or discussions that Bible verses would not assist. With this said, I am NOT the authority on what has been said. I haven't read the book, dug into the Scrapbooks, read the word of the week/day/month (whatever the real case is) or dug deep into who ff is and what he has done in his past. I have taken the approach of trying to keep all the clutter out of my thinking and listening to what other searchers have to say.

Nps: really? Do a tarryscant.com search of "bible verse". I really didn't know about bible verses. Guess I had better say that I didn't realize that I knew it. The quote from ff that this is part of, I did know about. As always thanks for pointing this out and keeping me straight. Out of curiosity, I checked to see how many times tarry is mentioned in the bible and wasn't surprised to see that tarry is mentioned 64 times.
