So I'm posting this because we are close to the end here and maybe one of you can make something of this. I think we all can agree here that a "method" is missing from this puzzle. I am going to present something to you that seems like it may be something and you guys can't take it see if it amounts to anything. Ill list it in steps so hopefully you can see where my head is at:
1) 2 and W. You find the first 2 on Neptune's dolphin's head on pg7. You find the first W in the wings of the middle eagle on the page where Fandango rides the dolphin.
2) On Abnaki's bridge, you see the 2 and W together, suggestion that there is a link between the two above pages.
3) Harley's plumb bob points to St Saveur. In the back of the book, St Saveurs elevation is changed by 1. This also occurs with Sargeant Mt and Penobscot. So 3 mountains.
4) Fops page has his border phrase The last in line, One of Four tradition carries ALL in a name.
5) Fops 4x4 spells EDAREUQSAM, suggesting a backwards spelling. ALL is in the word CadiLLAc, but backwards.
6) on pg 11, you see Fop's flag in the upper right. Cadillac's map segment makes up the sail of the boat (remember find your wind).
7) Fops riddle One of four seems solved. 4 mountains, Cadillac being last, ALL being in the word CadiLLAc, tradition carries meaning the elevation increases from mountain to mountain with Cadillac being the highest, (1530ft)
8) On the camera page, Fandangos eyes are reflected. The only other page with reflected eyes is Neptune's page, linking the two. You notice the bumper sticker, hinting at climbing Cadillac, (1530ft). You also see a subtraction problem
9) Now, on Neptune's page, you have the chest that says 1653. Subtract 1653-1530. You get 123 (Count to three now smile).
10) Above the chest is the dolphins head with the 2. Remember the 2.
11) With 1530 seeming to be a key number, return to the camera page and multiply it by 1927614 (1530x1927614). The answer is 2949249420. This is a very odd number (although technically even)
12) Split is up.. 294 924 942 0. If you notice, in every group of three, the 2 shifts 1 space to the right. Again, its the 2
What I think this may be: We have triplets here. Fandango is a dance in a triplet meter. Any dance you must count your steps. I think what may be going on is this 294 924 942 0 number is hinting to us a way to count letters in the border. Ive tried a few different combinations but am not getting anything, but at the same time I can't ignore the seemingly obvious connection with all of this. If you guys want, see what you can make of it..
Im thinking our Master Riddle is going to reveal itself backwards, and that is why we are getting so many reflection references. Same goes for East being spelled backwards in the wave on the page with the W in the wings. Try this technique, but you must be mindful of that possible backwards spelling, otherwise you may quit counting because the words that are coming out don't make sense.
Good Luck trying it, or don't. Im torching my book next Thanksgiving either way..
