Season 7, episode 8 brought up Poussin and Et in Arcadia Ego.... while I don't agree with all said, I do feel there might be a secret that Poussin kept.
We explored Poussin's tomb in Rome and share some history:

Poussin and Shepherds of Arcadia started me on this path. just sharing. Orion constellation overlay. Coincidence? i started with the 3 belt stars fitting into the very distinctive French Brittany coastline. more on this. since i was interested in France, i followed the line from Mintaka belt star down to Rigel. Surprise, Rigel in very near LaRochelle and Nantes is right on the line. this is getting interesting. Hmmm. Where does "above the belt" Orion go? Betelgeuse aligns to a spot just northwest of Amesbury! Meissa is very near Strood, location of Temple Manor, Templar central in England. The 3 belt stars. St. Brieuc, St. Malo, Mont St.-Michel, define the squared shape coastline, and represent areas of significant Templar holdings and support. This coastline shape is best depicted in Poussin's Shepherds of Arcadia, the horizon on the right. The shape is also in both Mona Lisa's. btw, Betelgeuse and the red marker is Stonehenge, just northwest of Amesbury. Unreal. just a coincidence? worth further work? My hunch is that the Orion nebula is X marks the spot. In this case, an area of Brittany with significant ancient mining, lots of coal mines and one tin mine, from what i have found so far. if a clue or secret was imbedded in the art, there must be a method of retrieval for the period. Easiest is connect the dots, for example. I have been experimenting with blurring, in photoshop, and have found that a cabuchon cut crystal will produce similar blurring. Plenty of those around. Then i picked up a mirror and dragged it across Poussin's Shepherds. The attached resulted. Fun image and cool symbols on hood. Good retrieval method. I am in the visual camp, rather than the divine ratios camp. Once acquired by the French king, he kept the Shepherds out of sight. I wonder if he banned mirrors as well. more mirror work. onward!

Poussin, still. 2nd pic is full unblurred image, horses center right. Does anyone think the circled item is something other than a wine bottle with white label and neck? I dont think bowling was around then!☺ That wheat field and big trees are target rich. I will be working this one for awhile. This one speaks to me more than the dozens of others I have viewed. I am taking the inscription on Poussin's tomb to heart. onward.
