It is the weekend, and I am feeling generous. So here are three hints, for different puzzles. I will let you figure out which ones they are for.
1.) Take a step back and look at the whole picture! 2.) If you need to fill in the blanks, start counting things that might contain the same number. 3.) There are hints in the illustrations for what to do.

Since the solution has been posted, I can tell you that what you were supposed to do was look at each location on google earth. If you had the locations correct, you should have seen something that resembled a letter. The location in Japan had a swimming pool in the shape of the letter R. A church in Madagascar had a perfect round circle for the letter O. The Australia location had a field in the shape of the letter P. And lastly, the Prince Edward Island had some hedges in the shape of a T. You could anagram these to spell PORT.
For my "filling in the blanks" hint, the 25 letters that go around the circle were supposed to fill in the 25 squares on the piece of paper. You should fill them in using a logical order...clock-wise, and inner to outer. Then the hints for what to do with them included the coin, Pieces of Eight, and the Eight Knot. If you did a -8 Caesar Shift, you would get the names of two pirates.
