Hi guys, I'd like to present my solution to Image 1/Verse 7. I think everyone agrees that San Francisco is the correct city and so do I. I know that not all agree the correct location is Golden Gate Park but I personally think that it is. I started this search like others I have worked on by trying to decipher the key image. In this case the key image is the table in the lower left corner of the image with the rose and clock on it. I googled photos of features at Golden Gate Park and as soon as I saw the Dutch Windmill I knew it was the physical representation of the key image. It had all the features/details shown in the key image. See photos:
The windmill also answered 6 of the first 8 lines of the verse. At stone wall's door (there is a door at the base of the windmill's stone wall). the air smells sweet (I think the image of the windmill explains that). Not far away, high posts are three (I believe this is in reference to the three highest posts/blades of the windmill (designated in the key image by the 3 green rose leaves above the table. The education and justice, for all to see (is not covered by the windmill but is probably a reference to John F. Kennedy Drive in front of the windmill). Even if you scratched out that clue it would not change the out come of the solve. Sounds from the sky, near ace is high. I believe Priess is always describing a physical feature at the location or a direction for you to follow. In this case I believe he is describing the Yaw motor atop the windmill which would make a sound like a plane's propeller if it were running. It was not running at that time but the description still applies.
Running north, but first across in jewel's direction. This is the hedge on the north and east side of the windmill garden. One side of the hedge is running north/south the other is running east/west. The east /west hedge is also running in the exact direction of the pearl (jewel) shown in the image. Is an object of Twain's attention. In this case I believe the twain means two and the capitol "T" means tree. There's is large tree about midway of the north/south hedge that has it's trunk split into two fairly equal sized trunks. As soon as you see the tree it will be obvious that it also exhibits the giant pole. Giant pole (the pole attached to the split tree), giant step ( the hedge), to the place, the casque is kept. It could not be more obvious.
The small map in the lower left corner of the image (shown in the first attachment) has the design from the chinese girls outfit, representing the north/south hedge. The window seal at the top is the east/west hedge. If you look where the tree is located verses the X from the girls dress, you'll see they fall at the exact same spot on the small map.
I apologize for the poor images.
