Someone posted an interesting link with a bunch of Fenn Q & A, although it's not dated so I don't know when it occurred but someone here might know..anyway,....Here's a couple questions and answers that were curious... Have you ever revisited the place you hid it?
No ....then a few question later, this... When was the last time you have been to where the treasure is hidden?
A few years ago. So that could either be interpreted as he hid the treasure a few years ago from the time of the Q & A....or.....he possibly was in the area where the treasure was but not the exact spot....or....it's a flat out contradiction. What do you think? dalneitzel.com/2017/02/08/forrest-gets-mail-13/

Where the treasure is, is precise, and the place it's at, is large. So you can go there, and not go there. Maybe he was there, but just not at the treasure spot.if it was a special place to him why would he not want to go and check it out is what I figure. If he's being tricky with his words I thinks the explanation.

Yes, it would be odd just to go back to the 'general area' and not actually his special specific spot where the box is I would think ...OTOH, maybe the 'general area' is also a place he had or does other business, which when I think about it, COULD account for him possibly not hiding the treasure directly from his Santa Fe home, which I hadn't considered from another post I made here...I had always thought when he said he hid it in an afternoon that he went from Santa Fe home to hiding spot back to Santa Fe home, but if he's in the area occasionally for business or whatever, that might account for answering the question that way.

If he's being tricky with his words I thinks the explanation. I think you may have that backwards. Place is defined as a particular position or point in space. A particular position or point in space seems more precise than general. And where appears to be a more general local like somewhere in the mountains north of Santa Fe. Seannn

there are other quotes where he says he hasn't gone back. I think the few years ago comment was a few years after he hid it. not a contradiction.

Forrest has recently suggested there is a way, which the previous statement contradicts. Either he found a method and has put that in place, or it's just another seemingly contradictory comment to place with a few others.

What do you think? dalneitzel.com/2017/02/08/forrest-gets-mail-13/I addressed this in that post fennzenn... dalneitzel.com/2017/02/08/forrest-gets-mail-13/#comment-515929It's the same concept of his SB's. Events in them didn't happen yesterday and then he posted it. He posts things that happened in the past. Same with this F-gets-mail-13. He exchanged the conversation with the class back in 2013 (maybe 14), yet he never really decided to post it until 2017. He has been so immersed in the Chase and stories and events, that it probably just "sat on the shelf", until one day he saw it and said..."you know what? I think I'll put this out on the site." Hope this helps

let's say its in yellowstone. if forrest goes to yellowstone does he go back to where he hid the treasure- I don't think so unless he goes to the exact spot the chest is hidden. within inches of it.

I agree. Just because he goes to his hometown in Texas doesn’t mean he visited his parents unless he went to their actual gravesite.

Here's another contradiction...Forrest was 79 or 80 when he hid the chest and we shouldn't go where an 80 year old man couldn't go. Why then on the dust jacket of TTOTC does it say, "Forrest said that if he were younger he'd go back and get it himself"?
