The number 10 is so prominent throughout the poem: 10 stanzas, X marks the spot, a turkey in bowling (x3), 10 digits in the first key. Do you think that’s an indication that Key 2 has 10 characters? Perhaps. I was thinking this may correspond with the 10 windows with yellow lettering on the ace but I don't understand how to manipulate that into both numbers and letters.

findingthetruth and efanton have both mentioned seeing a dog in some of the google images. If we're seeing different images of the same street, then I have to ask if everybody is seeing the same set of clues? I live in Oregon, don't see the dog, but do see lot's of items in front of the hardware store. I wonder how the dog image version might differ and if that is what Lukas sees?

It will be some sort of combo of letters and numbers. IMO. No way to know 100% for sure without solving it, but that appears to be the case. Since Lukas only offered the key-tester after the hunt started, I'm assuming he intended for us to find the chest, apply key 1, and then get a positive response. Can I ask if the chest gave you any positive feedback when you applied Key 1 to it?

Uing google street views look t te book store form different agles and you will see the dog next to the pickup truck. While in street view you will see 'X's overlaid on the road surface. This indicates where another street view is available. There are 3 or 4 views near the petrol station where you will see the dog. www.google.ie/maps/@42.4139065,-124.4207432,3a,87y,117.99h,69t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1saX5GtdfNcpCWLTsfF783xw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en www.google.ie/maps/@42.4137684,-124.4207328,3a,75y,120.41h,70.17t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sQgm8aJfKfFapUsqQoJnoUw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en www.google.ie/maps/@42.4137221,-124.4207293,3a,48.6y,67.54h,78.11t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUC_T50rpLxC6jNcRicnDUg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en (There seems be be some sort of bug on the forum where it doesnt allow for a full google map link to be entered. If the links above don't work for you, cut and paste them into google maps.) In this view you will see that the dog and truck disappear www.google.ie/maps/@42.4137334,-124.4205627,3a,75y,120.41h,70.17t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sCcykrngPEjgZxwR5cmKYWQ!2e0!7i3328!8i1664?hl=en I have also noticed that the fuel prices change depending on whether you view the sign from the main road or the side road alongside the book store. That's a problem with hunts that use google street view, You need to be certain that you are viewing what the author of the hunt expects you to see, so you have to check that other views in the same area all match

The most obvious thing I see is a lady wearing a blue jacket walking in front of the hardware store. Everybody else see the same?

I see! and it looks like were all getting the same perspective.
Does this help anybody. I'm striking out...
If you go to the boundaries of the red line area and focus on the hardware store from different angles, you can count "aces"

Okay so I found something, but I'm not sure if it is anything relating to this hunt or just a coincidence? Has anyone else found a string of random numbers and letters that seemed completely out of place? Or, like it was digitally put into a street maps view, is that even possible? I first noticed it while looking in that red line stretch, and when I first saw it, I was trying to make out the letters and numbers and I got off the spot of where I was at, and it took forever to find it again, so the orientation and angle that you use shows you different things. I will just tell you, If you've seen this same thing, it starts with 9 (or 4) 2IV and within the string the letters have some capitalized and some lowercase, could this be anything?

Well, I really think that it might mean something, because at first, I was thinking it was just something from my laptop, but I got on my phone and went to the same place, and found it again! I did try the letters and numbers in the key checker but no joy. But what if, this is just part of the key and we need to find the rest of it in the same way? I'm gonna be looking for more. BTW the string of letters and numbers are in a blue ink? In other news, I had a few other ideas that might be worth mentioning. Like someone else pointed out, the ACE Hardware store, is most likely what High or Low in hand means, and across from that is the Chinook Inn....and across from that is the Rogue River Myrtlewood Gifts Factory....I found that there was a Rogue River Chinook Tragedy so I was thinking maybe that is what A watery Tragedy means? and it is across from Ace with the appended Hardware? just throwing out stuff lol But going back to the string of letters and numbers I found, could that mean what Lukas means by, manipulating the information, by adjusting the angle and orientation?

Is it possible that a Playfair cipher is part of the solution? The words "competition fair" suggests "play fair" to me. Since I hate ciphers and codes I'm not looking into the possibilities.

I've been considering a couple different ciphers but none seem to lend themselves to having numbers and letters
