Hello all. Started this puzzle earlier this weekend and did my best to catch up as quick as possible. I don’t have the copy of the book so I bypassing that for now to start helping you decode the final key. As someone with fresh eyes on the area we are supposed to be searching I noticed some things and would like to see if anyone else has. So obviously there is a subways on the street. Coincidence that the poem has hero in it? Could we have to go back to where we were thinking the last part is tricky and listen to trickys song hero? Did anyone notice the discrepancies in the pricing on the chevron sign depending on which street you look from. Also the poem talks about luck. I don’t think anyone has said anything about McKays. Luck of the Irish anyone? And if you look at the part treasure lies in friends, go down to the high school and read the names in chalk, only one name is repeated and it’s first letter changes. I also need to go back and look where it was but I remember seeing a sign with a phone number but the wind blew the sign up covering the last 4 digits. That’s all I have for now I will continue looking today.

It might be wise to solve the ciphertext and it will narrow down your search area. Lukas has told us that the second key can be found from 1st st at the Book Store, to Saharan St. as depicted on the map hint from April 2020's hint video. If you need help with the book, I have a link to it.

Ok, so yeah I am also new to this due to the new online activity around this treasure hunt (used to play around with notpron at the time of my teens) .
I did end up discovering key number one and used it on the key tester, I don't know if I'm missing anything by not calling because I'm from Portugal.
Anyways I didn't truly understand stanza 6 or 7 for that matter (language barrier is a bit worse in understanding these puzzles plus cultural), but from what I understand in the hint video the creator gives away the location to find key 2, doesn't that make the book and chipper unnecessary? Isn't that counter intuitive? By logic if people can find the book and chipper, which was not something they could with the ten pins lane, why give this hint?
I do think the chest is related to a PayPal url since the stanza does say with the help of a friend (pal).

But trying to associate the poem there only started making sense when I branched further away from Lukas area. I thought maybe the fair competition was the panthers stadium or was the 3 different gas station prices but if we only look at chevron what does that even mean then? Oh well back to searching.

Okay, so here is the link to the book: www.hogwartsishere.com/library/book/7107/chapter/17/. Once you use the book with the ciphertext, it gives another riddle as to what we need to find for the second key. However, it can be interpreted several different ways, which makes it difficult to know what Lukas is wanting lol.

Key two is only found on that street? seeing mini hunt 2 I would think ''You need not rise up from your chair'' to be the Dan hardware's building number 29733,''For each of you is equal And the competition fair'' I'm stuck, the town does have fairgrounds close by but it is not on the hardware shop street.

Pretty interested in the HP theme throughout.
Mom, love, fawn. Alchemy. Black flames. Equality.
Myrtlewood.
What are we missing?

There's also a bookstore on that street, with an image of a person sitting in an armchair. Maybe links to the "chair?"

Tdog I like the myrtlewood idea, maybe as an HP ingredient in something, but I think that store is outside the red line on the map, isn't it?

I've also come up with a solid "across appended" solve... just not solid enough to move forward into a Key 2 solve.
Digging this post up- is it "a cross appended" or "across appended?" I'm having trouble trying to investigate both paths. Can't seem to make sense of this.

if it helps someone who has made a connection I didn't, then go for it.
I keep coming back to myrtle wood and seeastar. I really like a cross appended for the stat on myrtlewood benches and on the sign for sea star. Star fish has appendages, also it's a cross with an extra appendage. Ones low and ones high. Also dont rise up from your chair. They are across from each other.
Myrtlewood is appended to apple works, they are both food places, so competition.
I've been working with a playfair coder. Compitions fair. But you have to use rogue because you cant have double letters like in apple.
Also there was a book on codex on the shelf in the first video, so I've been working with other decoders if something fits. I've even tried to make parcheesi fit. No luck tho.
Also these 2 businesses are near the chicken face house, tan house off the main street. So I like it for mountain home also.

Myrtlewood is not on that stretch of street though. I would assume he wouldn't have marked that specific stretch if it was supposed to include Myrtlewood.
