Cipher?

Still working on the cipher.... I would think the US version might be the version you would want vs. Philosopher's stone but then again I haven't solved the cipher so IDK. My problem is keeping track of everything I'm trying. I can't pinpoint a starting place but what's really killing me is grouping of the numbers....either I just use singles, or pair the numbers, or groups of three. And then from there trying to figure out what exactly to count. I have pages and pages of notes and feel like I'm circling back lol. Good point

Can anyone else corroborate that solving the cipher is straightforward? I've been working on it with a group of friends for a long time now and none of us have had any luck.

Ok...
You should know the book by now.
Two things hint at where to start.
1. Stanza 7. 2. Lukas’s description of the book.

The illustrated copy of the book does not get you the final two lines. Very disappointing.

It's easy. Everyone should know what book it is by now. Hint, the most talked about book on these threads. And listen to the stanza literally. Where Alchemy's best is found.

Would anyone be willing to share whether or not the version of the book is relevant? I've been trying to solve this with the Kindle version and haven't had any luck so far. I'm assuming I just haven't worked out the correct starting point, but it also seems very possible that I'm wasting my time working with this version.

You definitely need the US version of this book, some words are spelled differently and will mess the cipher up. I can’t see the Kindle version being an issue though

Thanks a lot for the tip. I was living in Canada when I started working on the cipher and I was only able to get my hands on the UK version. That probably explains my lack of progress.

It is possible with the kindle version but much harder to find the correct starting point.

Two hints: He's in a very public place. He's listed as Jamesw Marshall. With the James and the w run together.

I don't see it with the James and W run together.
He can actually be found in two places.
