I agree with that. If possible there's should be. Time of day, and a day, (minding weather here), that and individual should get the treasure. Especially if you consider you might get your pictures took. Gonna bring my best court clothes just in case I get a magazine cover photo.

The sun is also going down on the cover of TFTW if you study the grass. It fits the shadow. Keep in mind that Forrest had no control over WHEN Dal took that picture, nor even ~exactly~ where. I am speaking of the half highlighted circle on his right knee that appears as it's going down behind the border of the image. (photoshopped in)

I think if I took the picture I woulda got some fish and shodows of fish in the pictures. Not sure about half moons. I like the idea of noon on the summer solstice's though, it's technically the longest day so noon is right in thwiddle of that. Lunar cylcles are kinda useful, and for some people's the dictated there lives. Not like daylight savings time tho, I think that's annoying and useless and wouldn't work because Fenn threw his watch away (smart man).

Hi Goldilocks: Dal is an experienced photographer and knows that lighting is best early in the morning or late in the afternoon, so I believe his photographer instincts dictated the time(s) of day that he would have considered for the shot, not any specific guidance from Forrest. As you indicated, even getting a shadow on the water didn't end up being a factor since that was edited in later. So if there is a hint on the cover of TFTW (and I believe there is), it would have to be limited to the elements Forrest requested (river, gravel, flowers) or he added later (shadow).
